Why I Have Joined The Empower Network

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

Change, I believe is the essence or core of life. Like so many others I have learned about, I too have been scammed and ripped off by a number of online marketing teams and so called “gurus”. Thus I try to learn what I must, about those I may be interested in, from others I know and trust and whom have actual experience with them. That’s how I learned about The Empower Network and decided to join it. From everything I’ve been able to learn, this aligns with the path I earnestly wish to be on and contribute to.

I understand that this, like another program I am involved in, acknowledges that they are in a daily transition, as they learn about the challenges we face in adhering to their approach. They will do all they can to assist us in adapting to the changes we need to make, so that we can maximize the benefits we can both contribute and earn.

What am I most committed to in my life right now? Becoming someone who criticizes no one, and forces no one to believe what I am telling them, establishing meaningful relationships with those who are seeking change for a more creative and meaningful life of their own. How? Helping others appreciate “the bigger picture” and recognize their own true potential. Why? That I believe is the foundation for a fulfilling life!

The single most important responsibility we all have in life is to be yourself. Unfortunately, as we will discuss in a later version, we have been taught to believe just the opposite. Success is not what is defined by others and in fact we need to use our own minds to explore and decide which pathway to success we intend to carve. “The power to think consecutively and deeply and clearly, is an avowed and deadly enemy to mistakes and blunders, superstitions, unscientific theories, irrational beliefs, unbridled enthusiasm, fanaticism.” –The Power of Will, by Frank C. Haddock.

Just over 30 years ago my wife and I purchased a printing franchise and about the same time, I started teaching classes part time, for contractors, which I did for some 15 years. In New Mexico all businesses in the construction industry had to be licensed. I taught the Uniform Building Code exclusively for commercial and residential contractors, and a year after at the request of the school owners, began teaching all the trades, and even interior designers the Business & Law classes in order for them to pass that exam, for without it you wouldn’t receive a license.

Something then occurred, which really made a difference. I had to do some definitive research regarding business, because I had a Liberal Arts degree and not a business degree. What I learned I repeatedly tracked back then, and I’m quite sure has not changed even in this day and age on the internet, is that between 80 and 90 percent of all small businesses fail.

My wife and I talked about this just the other day and acknowledged while we operated our franchise for 10 years, we also learned that just about all of those in attendance at our initial franchise training, had shut down or sold out, even earlier. What we are convinced of is that franchise failed to anticipate and address the needs of its members as we attempted to grow our businesses.

So why would I recommend The Empower Network? Because I have looked at and learned how it got started and why, but most importantly I believe in their commitment especially with regards to their assistance and support.

What I also hope to help you appreciate, with this story and forthcoming articles, is that our own individual path to success hinges upon our tangible results which create the physical, financial, relational, emotional and spiritual aspects of the life we have chosen.

I believe The Empower Network is a legitimate tool with which you can adapt those results to what you wish to experience most in life. As we move on, we will also be looking at how our marketing needs to assess and respond to the intentions of those within our niche markets.
