I can’t begin to tell you how good it feels to have my socks off, and to sit curled up on the downstairs couch and type. I love doing this on the weekends. Big screen playing bad Netflix horror movies while I type. I really should start writing reviews. I had actually considered that for a time. But then I met some guys who do, and in the same genre. Bunch of tools. I don’t think I could be that ignorant, even if I tried. It kind of threw me off the thought, but how much fun would it be to get paid to watch and review movies. I could probably pump out 5 or more a day…. so if you know anyone who would be willing to pay for me to watch and review Set me up Or if you want, add me on Facebook “therealdanloewen” and get a Netflix account, and you can see several hundred movies I’ve already reviewed from 1-5 stars Be forewarned though, I have a penchant for b-rated horror movies Talking about dream jobs, have you checked out any of the videos from Dave and Dave, the founders of the EmpowerNetwork? 107. Linkbait: write about something controversial, break a news story or anything else to virally build traffic.
Now I am not necessarily a huge fan of the controversial sort of thing. I find this the stuff that newspaper sales are made out of. Also it’s the stuff of the so-called reality tv marketing campaigns. But the idea is sound, and comes through a lot in the traffic that builds from saying or doing something inflammatory (Flaming). It’s the sort of thing the people from the Westborough Church have been doing with their marches on military funerals and the like. Now I don’t agree with their tactics, but it does definitely get them interest, whether they wanted it or not. It took almost no time before they were in international news. Now are you willing to do something that inflammatory to draw traffic? That being said what kind of traffic will it bring in? I don’t know if you ever watched kitchen nightmares with Gordon Ramsay. But there is a specific episode that I am linking here, that was so over the top with crazy people that it drew masses of traffic. Check it out here, it was already at over a million views with just this link.
What a gong show But it wasn’t over with this particular episode, it spilled over to news articles, tv, Facebook and more, and I must say they ended up getting FAR more attention and “traffic” than they deserve. If you do a search for them you will find out how off the rails they really seem to be That being said though, it worked. Gordon’s show got monster ratings, the restaurant go huge media, and really, isn’t that what everyone wanted? Well, while I am sure it was great for Ramsay, I am not so sure how it will pan out for Amy and her husband. So you see it really can be a double edged sword. When you do something like this you want to make sure you are on the Ramsay end of the situation So think hard about the repercussions. While the pay off can be astronomical, it could also be absolutely destructive to what you are trying to accomplish.
