My Confession (Don’t get upset)

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

This is going to be  a long one but I want to get it out
As a lot of you well know I am a blogger. I have a business online and right now I am getting ready for the beast of Blogs.

Also a lot of yall know what I went through with the army.
It wasn’t a pretty sight and I went through depression and I tried to take my life.

But the question remained in my head until I asked myself today.
How did I fall in such a hell hole?

What was the reasoning behind it. I said it was just the pounding of insults and feeling useless…which was a part of it but how did I open myself up to it?

I have fought the depression and now I am fine. My journey was a walk on coals and obstacles but I got through them.

I sacrificed a lot for what I have achieved and my vision I thought was to help specifically veterans getting out of the military create a online business and I still will do that.

The thing is whenever I think of military it puts me in a place of pain. I don’t even want to think of it. Still happens and then I remembered something that happened to me at an event in Denver.

I was the most transparent I ever been on that stage at the after party as I told my story. I was nervous but I wanted to let it out and David Wood let me.

After I finished this guy jumped up and hugged me. I didn’t even realized what I did but I changed something in him. He wasn’t alone. An neither was I.

My Testimony in Denver Don’t Be A Wussy

But the question still remains, how did my pain start?

I believed it started when I covered who I really am. It took this long and I had to have different experiences to just understand myself.

I have a free spirit that will not be controlled. I believe everyone has it but they suppress it or it’s suppressed over the years. Mine has manifested into something that I will not suppress anymore…I’m crying as I’m doing this…holy shit…

It manifested in the weirdest way, through just being a nerd lol. I read books of fantasy and sci fy when I was young. Throughout high school I built relationships with people who enjoy playing games..getting our minds off of what we think is the real world.

Halo, Dungeons and Dragons, anything game play where my mind was somewhere else. Even outside I loved to go places and not have a care in the world. I love to travel on my terms.

What those experiences did was manifest something powerful.

When I joined the Army, I thought I could afford to go to college so I can have a job I wanted so, I can enjoy life… In reality it’s not a job that I wanted, I didn’t know of anything else inside my minds box.

I should have listened to my 12th grade English teacher..”Colton I don’t think you will like the army simply because you don’t like to be controlled”

I didn’t understand it till today but, what happened when I joined the Army was that I suppressed something that wanted to be free. Free to do whatever it wanted. Play games, imagine myself in a different universe. Free to go see and have fun with friends. Free to see and experience what the world can offer.

When I suppressed my own free spirit, the light went out of my eyes and I didn’t want to live. That is why I went into depression..The moment I gave up and squeezed the trigger was the moment my light broke through and said I am fighting for you. The power from that is still pushing me. Still manifesting and from this day has been recognized.

All I needed was a way to set it free, and that is and was with Empower Network and the Blog Beast

Millionaires become Millionaires because they do only the things they are good at and mastering them. I will master mine and become a legend leading millions to real life.

I love the lifestyle of freedom which for me includes video games, travel and accepting I am a nerd.

Money is just an obstacle, and it won’t get in my way.

I walked on coals from hell, now I run leaving a trail of fire and purification for you to follow. What people think is reality; I will burn down and show you the true meaning of freedom and life.

love to live, live to dream, dream it to reality
