Lead the Field Series: Destiny In the Balance – The Law of Cause and Effect

In this blog post I will be outlining the Earl Nightingale recording taken from the fantastic series of Lead the Field.  Today I will be discussing the recording named “Destiny in the Balance”.  Destiny in the Balance talks about in detail the law of Cause and Effect.  I will also be using some of my favorite quotes taken from Destiny in the Balance too – there are just so many I could use!

To start off this audio recording, Earl Nightingale opens with saying that you would think that if a great discovery were made, all the proceeding generations would know about it and utilize it for their own use.

This whoever is not always the case…

To explain what he means he begins telling a story of some workers in a third world country that had never seen or ridden in a car before.
When these men decided they wanted to stop, they just simply stepped off of the moving truck!  Not surprisingly the men rolled around on the road but fortunately nobody was hurt.  The driver of this truck put it down to those people never having ridden on a truck before…

This sounds like the most logical answer but in fact it is not!

They ignored a great universal truth – the law of Cause and Effect.

Cause and Effect as Told By Earl Nightingale

This is the discovery that most people on earth tend to ignore.
Cause and Effect has been explained in many ways throughout history.
Some of these examples are:

As ye sow, so shall ye reap

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction

Our rewards in life will always match out service

What you put in – you get back

People may acknowledge this and say it is true but then go about their days as if nothing ever happened, never actually using this great principle.

If any person is not satisfied with their rewards in life they need to look at their service

What ever you seek in the form of rewards, you must first ear in service to others.  All attempts to sidestep this law will end up in failure and frustration.

Drive down any street and you will be able to tell exactly how much service those people are providing to the community.  Not surprisingly the people at the bottom of the socioeconomic ladder have not made any time to keep their yards tidy yet the people at the top have the nicest and most well kept gardens around!

Increasing Your Service – Cause and Effect

After taking these recordings very seriously, I sat down and actually looked at how I could increase my service to the community.  After making a goal to increase my global Alexa ranking by close to 200,000 – I have already within a week or two increased it by 100,000!  As I write this blog my website is within the top 500,000 websites in the entire world.  I have made these improvements simply by looking at my work and seeing how I can increase my service!

It all comes down to Cause and Effect.

To see exactly how I have done that and to to apply the skills taught by Earl Nightingale in your own business, Join the Empower Network today and Lead the Field!
