With all the incredible amount of information out there, it takes some doing to sift through everything that is thrown at you and decide which is relevant and which is pure garbage. The whole process can be overwhelming and at the very least time-consuming and energy – sapping. So what’s the answer?
Enter Kris Darty. I was watching one of his training videos a couple of days ago and realized that not only was I wasting a lot of time and energy with irrelevant material but, more importantly, I was not as focused as I should be. I was getting easily distracted and pulled off track to explore every avenue except the one that would lead to success. As Kris Darty put it, don’t think that every piece of info you get will lead to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Stick to your primary business and don’t get overly complicated with it.
As a long time professional musician and educator, I can certainly relate to what Kris is saying. Among a host of other musical activities, I write songs and have done so for many years. When I first started I tried to be absolutely perfect and different from other songwriters by making my music way too complicated. I dotted every ‘I’ and crossed every ‘T’ and structurally made my songs as complex as I possibly could in an effort to stand out from the crowd. Big mistake! In more recent times I try to keep it simple. I make my songwriting less busy, less complicated and I believe, more successful.
My point is that to keep it simple can be a huge benefit to all and can actually take the pressure off with a more relaxed approach. We have to remember that if we can be successful AND keep it simple, what we do can easily be duplicated by the other members of our team which will lead to THEIR success.
There are basically 7 elements to successful online marketing.
1. Good Products. It is important to find quality products that have value and help others to achieve their goals, to solve their problems.
2.Vibrant Market. There must be people looking for what you have to offer. That is why the ‘making money’ online niche is a really good one because in today’s economy there are countless people worldwide looking for alternate income sources.
3. Targeted Traffic. There maybe millions of people looking but they need to be pointed towards what YOU have to offer.
4. Capture Page. In order to help build a list of customers and team members you must have a capture page…..but not just any old page. It has to be a GREAT one that attracts people’s attention.
5. Sales Video. Once you have got people to opt in on your capture page, then it is time to show them what you have to offer. Please note that this video better be good because people lose focus and get bored very quickly.
6. Follow Up Emails. Once you have presented your offer, don’t expect people to make instant decisions about purchasing it. Think about what YOU would do in their position. Most of the time, people need to be gently reminded about the offer and its benefits, sometimes several times. Therefore the quality of your follow ups must be high in order to ultimately convert your prospects into customers or team members.
7. Up Sell. To the uninitiated, this means that if you have sold ONE of your products, you can now talk about the benefits of your other products while the new customer is in a buying mode.
Well there you have it. I hope that these tips on how to keep it simple will help you to refocus as it helped me. Stay tuned for further info on this topic and remember to Like, Comment and Share this blog post on Facebook, Twitter and Google +.
