An English mother living in Catholic France writes about her daughter choosing, at eight, to be christened after two years of turning up to classes nobody obliged her to attend. That post tells you more about the blog than any of the marketing ones.

The word rogue appears in half the titles and never gets explained, which is part of the joke. Around it she writes about the minutia that eats a mother's day, about a mission large enough to drag you past the obstacles, about needing a mentor and finding one, about sales funnels and press releases handled briskly because they are simply the work.

The best of it runs on impatience. There is a rant about the women used as decoration in advertising aimed at aspiring entrepreneurs, which says out loud what plenty of people notice and nobody writes down. There is a piece about children leaving for university and secondary school in the same week, and about being proud and undone at once.

Read this if the tidy voice of business blogging has started to grate. The technique is here, but it arrives sideways.
