No Excuses Summit 4 Video Contest

No Excuses Summit 4 !

In March, the opportunity for free tickets to No Excuses Summit 4 presented itself at the last minute (literally) and my boyfriend Andrew and I decided to get in on the game!

The contest was a video contest: submit a video to the No Excuses Summit facebook page about WHY you should be at the event this year, and get your friends to come and like the post. We were told about the No Excuses Summit by our mentors Brian and Rhonda, The Unstoppable Family, who were speakers at the No Excuses Summit 3 last year. We had actually just got back in touch with Brian and Rhonda about a week beforehand.

Brian literally called us the night before the No Excuses Summit 4 contest ended and said “YOU HAVE TO BE AT THIS EVENT, YOU HAVE TO DO THIS!”

We were in a car with our friend, on the way to a party when we got that call. When we got home, Drew and I stayed up all night that night shooting the video for No Excuses Summit. I mean, literally we went to sleep at 5 AM and woke up to work 8 hours the next day! It got posted after 8 PM that night, and we had 6 hours to get votes. After work we went out to a coworker’s going-away party (she was leaving to New York), and we got just about everyone there to go to facebook and like our post!

Aside from that we sent a message like this around Facebook:

“Watch our video about why we should attend No Excuses Summit and then if you please, go to http://www.facebook.com/noexcusessummit , LIKE the page, click on “recent posts by others”, scroll down until you see my name Tatiana Suarez, and like the post! ”

This is our first online video ever…lol! It’ll be interesting to look back on in the future as we get better at speaking on camera!

And guess what? WE WON!! Our video was one of 5 winners! I’ll be sure to update from the No Excuses Summit and our adventures in Las Vegas!
