I Love You, I’m Sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank You – The Ho’oponopono Mantra Meditation
Ho’oponopono: the ancient Hawaii’an practice of forgiveness and reconciliation.
To practice ho’oponopono is to take responsibility for every adverse situation that comes into your life, blaming no one else but yourself, and to cleanse it by going within. Every memory, every past event, every past relationship – whether remembered consciously or subconsciously, is affecting your current present situation whether you are aware of it or not. It is also affecting the lives of others, and nature as a whole. In this way, Ho’oponopono practice is truly rooted in the concept of “I am the creator of my own reality.”
A practitioner of ho’oponopono, when faced with an adverse situation, will immediately ask, “What is it within me that is causing this sickness to manifest, this person to behave in this way, or this situation to take place?” They will then go inward and cleanse this energy from themselves, the situation, and the others that are being affected by a simple cleansing mantra mediation:
I Love You, I’m Sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank you.
This is a direct conversation with the divine within. (Or the universe, God, the creator…)
At first it may seem difficult to get past the egoic thoughts like “Why am I sorry? I didn’t do anything.” What we are actually apologizing for is that we have forgotten that we are divine beings. What we are actually saying is, “I’m sorry that I was not aware of this. I’m sorry that I was not conscious.” With this, we heal and cleanse ourselves, and others. We know that we are forgiven, and accepted. And we are thankful that we have been heard and healed.
Let this mantra meditation become so much a constant part of you and your daily life that it moves into your subconscious. The simple act of sending love out into the universe is going to raise your vibrational frequency to match that of love – what a wonderful vibration to be!
Although ho’oponopono is a simple practice to understand, this is a very simplified explanation. I encourage you all to do more research on the ho’oponopono mantra mediation, and also to go within in mediation and seek answers for yourselves.
Love and Light,
Tatiana
