Winter is the last season of the year. It can be a harsh Winter or a smooth Winter, it all depends on what you did during the other seasons. If you planted on the Spring, if you took care on the Summer, then most probably you reaped a good harvest on the Fall that you can now enjoy on the Winter. Otherwise, if you relaxed on the Spring, let the bugs and the weeds take care of your garden on the Summer, then most probably you will starve on the Winter because you didn’t have a harvest to reap on the Fall.
Winter is the season to enjoy the rewards of your effort or to regret not doing any effort at all. Winter is also the season to ponder on the year that is coming to an end, what went wrong and what went right. Take the time to look through the past year and learn the lessons there is to learn. Gather the knowledge, the experience and apply it to the new year that is coming. The Winter is a time to plan your next Spring and regain energy to start the new season strong!
Winter can be a time to enjoy your rewards, that is if you paid the price ahead and did everything you were suppost to do right. But it can also be a time to regret your poor choices, if you chose to procrastinate and take easy way instead. That is alright, you are a free person, its your life, therefore the choice is yours. But you better now that the pain of regret is much bigger than the pain of falling short to what we set ourselves to achieve. One thing is to try and fail, another completely different thing is to not even try and expect to reap a better crop on the Fall. You see, if you try and fail that is alright, as long as you get up and keep trying!
Everything worth doing right is worth doing wrong first!
If Winter comes and you don’t have what you wanted to but you fought for it during the year, don’t get disappointed, you are closer than you think! And nobody can point a finger at you if you haven’t given up! So use this winter to rethink your plans, try to figure where exactly are you falling short and make a goal for coming Spring to improve on that area. And remember, whatever happen … don’t give up!! If you failed a deadline that doesn’t mean you can’t have what you want. It simply means that you can’t have it … yet! So make a new deadline and get to work again!
Another important thing to have in mind for the Winter is to not relax too much. You can relax and enjoy your rewards, but not too much. Don’t get used to the “good life”! Remember, after Winter comes … Spring! And you have to plant again if you want to reap again next Fall!
It might be a little late now to reap a good harvest on the Fall, but take Winter time to ponder on all this and when next Spring comes you know what you got to do!
