3 Reasons Why Abraham Lincoln Was a Great President

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

If there was a ever a time to consider 3 reasons why Abraham Lincoln was a great President, the time is now. Right now, we are at a place in our country where we aren’t so sure who the leader should be, why they should be, or what they should do.

I can tell you first hand that if I were President, I would have no clue where to start! I have been thinking about this though as I consider where we are as a country, what we can do to improve the state of our country, and how we can prepare our children for the future.

What I do know, is that I can give you 3 reasons why Abraham Lincoln was a great President during his time, and it’s no secret why he was loved by so many.

Do You Know the 3 Reasons Why Abraham Lincoln Was Such a Great President?

If you didn’t get a chance to see the movie Lincoln, then by all means make it a point to see it.

This movie was onoe of the greatest of our time, and no doubt because he was one of the greatest Presidents of our time.

Finding 3 reasons why he was such a great President isn’t hard to do, and the truth is, these reasons can help you not only learn more about history, but these reasons could help you become a better leader.

1.He NEVER gave up. Learning a bit about Lincoln as a boy, would make these 3 reasons why he was “great” so clear. In fact, if you have ever seen someone just NOT give up, then you know full well that they are destined for greatness. There are tons of details to his life, but he was raised poor, didn’t know how to read, and he continued to fail at everything he did when it came to getting elected for office. Finally, the day came, and no more failure. Lincoln had it in him to be great, and ultimately, the people had no choice  but to agree!

2. Lincoln respected all views. If you were to think about how Lincoln handled political parties, you would realize that yes, he treated everyone the same. His goal was to avoid division, and naturally because he was working to keep the North together, the South together, and abolish slavery to keep all people together, he was well respected. The core of his leadership was unity, and that is another great quality of one that holds the office of the President!

3. He was self made. It has been said that the true millionaires are those that are self made, not handed their parent’s fortune, right? Lincoln decided that ultimately, he was responsible for learning how to read, and becoming who he wanted to be. As a result, he chose to work on those things so that is what he could do. How many of you would make your passion your sole focus to the point where you just created your life, the way you wanted it? You can do that!

In fact, I hope that you have enjoyed reading this, and I hope that this has inspired you today. If this has urged you to make some changes in your life, and you are now ready to start something new, even if it’s business, I would love to hear about it!

If you would love to know the 3 reasons why it’s important to be self made, and how you can become self made today, just go HERE to learn more!
