2 Ways to Make a Difference in the Lives of Others

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

Making a difference in the lives of others is what life is really about, and the thing is folks, there are only 2 ways to make a difference in the lives of other people.

I hear people talk about how to influence others all the time, but yet they don’t really understand how to make the difference. There is no doubt that there are some people that believe that they help people and make a difference in the lives of others.

Sometimes, it’s just being the change you want to see, and making that known. For me, as a single mother, it’s not only helping other single mother’s but it’s about helping them see that they do have gifts and talents that they can use to contribute to improving the lives of other ladies just like them.

I am going to share with you the 2 ways to make a difference in the lives of others and how you can do that in life and in business.

One of the Shocking 2 Ways to Make a Difference in the Life of Another

Were you aware that there are only 2 ways to make a difference in the lives of others?

1. Gratitude. When you are grateful, others see this. Think about the impact our media makes in the lives of the world.

When we wake up each morning, we have in mind, what we want to do for the day, and what we will consider a success. Just being grateful for everything is a wonderful place to start. When people see your sadness, and they see tears, all it does is make them feel worse.

Is that what you want to convey? Is that what you want others to see? The way you look and outwardly express yourself will determine how others pick up on what you feel. If you practice being grateful for everything, then others will do the same, and on the inside it changes you.

2. Give. Not only should we be grateful for everything, but we need to give to others. It’s interesting that some folks I know that are dedicated to giving, will sacrifice dinner out so that they can give to a ministry they are passionate about.

Not only do they do this, but they give when they still have needs even if money is tight they give. They believe that giving is so important, whether it’s:

  1. Giving to the church
  2. Giving to the less fortunate
  3. Giving to others

Has there been a time when you have given despite what other obligations you had? Have you been faithful to giving even when you had other things to worry about? No matter what you can practice gratitude and giving because they go hand in hand.

Is it time for you to make change?
