How Do You Make Your First Sale In Network Marketing Online Business

You know…. I remember that day when I would make one of the biggest decisions that would change my life and not knowing it at that time.

It was actually late in the evening about 2 years ago and I just finished watching a video that made perfect sense.  It spoke to me as it related to things that I thought about but never realized how it could change my life.  The guy on the video was pretty much giving me permission to make a decision.  He touched on how so many people want something different in their lives, yet won’t do anything about it.

I was so excited about what I learned from that video it moved me to action.  I quickly went downstairs and talked to my husband telling him as much as I understood about what I just heard.  My husband looked at me with a blank look saying he wasn’t sure what I was talking about but still supported my decision.

I Joined And Went All In

The next morning the reality hit me… I had just made a decision to take the next steps towards changing my life.  I soon realized that I was stepping into a new industry, coming from the real estate lending industry where I thrived, succeeded and then fell to grace but had learned a lot over that 22 year period.  But this was a new venture.  A new industry, network marketing and direct sales that I would soon learn about.  And for some reason, I just knew I was ‘going to go for it’.

So back to reality!  It hit me and I started thinking… how in the world am I going to make any sales?

I had no real online marketing experience.  I knew some social media, had done some blogging and even experienced having my own online part-time business making and selling inspirational charms. 

This was different.
This was network marketing and direct sales.  The comp plan was genius especially when I heard about residual income.

But how in the world was I going to make my first sale?!  Who would I actually sell too?  What do you say?  Who do you talk to?  Who else would even see what I saw in believing that I could change my life and live it the way I wanted?

The thing I remember the most is how driven I felt, as if I was being challenged…. I KNEW I would find a way to succeed in this industry. And it was because I made a decision to do just that.

FAST FORWARD

Now, after a little over 2 years, I have had consistent sales, building a team and I know I’m on the right path continuing to achieving my goals and dreams I put before me.

Today I receive messages, emails and phone calls from people that are struggling in this industry.  They wonder ‘what are they doing wrong’.  How can they do what I have been doing.

So let me remind you if you are at that crossroads of your online network marketing or direct sales business….

We ALL started from zero!

Each of us will reach different levels of success depending on the amount of effort we but into our new online business.  But it’s even more than that.  You have to really BELIEVE that you can succeed, that you will win…otherwise your results will not be what you are expecting.

You are the only one that will decide if you are going to do this or not.  And if you don’t follow what other successful people do, then you will fall short of even getting up tomorrow morning being inspired and motivated to work your business.

I made my first sale in this network marketing online business within 2 weeks.  I basically decided to go through the training, show up to masterminds and other group events and just went crazy.  Maybe a bit too crazy, because I was blogging more than once a day, getting onto all the social groups I could and shared my blog posts along with images and videos which I learned about in the company training.

If anyone were to look back at what I did to make my first sale, might call it spam.  But at that point, I didn’t know what I know today.  I didn’t have the experience, knowledge and guidance like I do today.  But that is the KEY!

Just do it!

If you want to make your first sale in your network marketing online business or you are stuck and looking to increase your sales, then the only thing I recommend is to get back to the basics.  Go through the training, choose 1 marketing strategy and don’t stop applying that strategy until you start getting sales.

Part of the winning and succeeding at anything is learning.

And….Don’t you dare quit!

Stay in the game and win.

Part of getting back to the basics is also following the core commitments that other successful people follow.  Be sure you are reading and listening to positive, self-improving audios that will feed your mind with confidence and build your inner belief.  Attend the company events to get around the top income producers, ask questions, meet other people with like minds and build connections.

How you make your first sale?  You do whatever it takes!  And every action you take no matter if it is done correctly or not, will be the most important ‘learning’ you will ever get.  Making your first sale in your network marketing online business is the first stepping stone to building your business and changing your life! 

Decide to succeed…. Then get out there and just do it!
