Happy Holidays 2012
This time of year and for a few years now I always think back to when our son was little and still believed in Santa Claus. We enjoyed taking him to see Santa so he could give him his long list of what he wanted for Christmas.
It was fun hiding the toys and trying to keep our son’s daily excitement of ‘is it Christmas yet’ at bay.
Always enjoyed Christmas eve when I knew my husband and I were going to have hours of getting the toys put together, inserting the batteries and getting them under the tree. I remember one year in particular where my husband and I spent hours assembling a train set.
My husband accidentally turned on the train’s engine and it started ‘tooting’ loudly where our son woke up and came into the living room all excited to see Santa.
It was a close call, as my husband scooped up our son and hurried him back to his bed telling him that Santa didn’t come yet and he won’t until he was fast asleep. Well that worked, but not too many years later, that would be the last time Santa would be coming to our house.

Celebrate Happy Holidays
Those were the days, and am so grateful to have those memories. So now we celebrate in different ways that are just as joyful and fun. We make memories as a family no matter what age we are at. And for me, that is the most important part of having happy holidays and experiencing a joyful season.
