Tips from the Masters: Lesson 2

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

Each week my Mastermind Partners who own the Empower Network Masters Course review one of the lessons, do a piece of content around it and then have a private brainstorming session about our biggest takeaways.

I love tackling content in this one-piece-at-a-time with a small group way. And with other people… it’s almost like having an exclusive and highly monetized book club.

Our conversations nearly never stay on topic … but that’s okay, ’cause following this format, the folks who show up, the ones who are in action mode get the most attention.

That’s how it should be.

So this is my content piece for Lesson 2 – as you can see, I’m not going out of my way to get deep into anything – this is sort of a blog post about nothing.

Like Seinfeld – a show about a show about nothing… was always clever and entertaining for me anyway. And ironically … memorable.

Festivus
The Soup Nazi
But I don’t wanna be a pirate! [insert nasally whiny voice lol]
etc …

If you were a fan of the show – you know exactly what I’m talking about.

I kinda feel about Empower Network the way I did Seinfeld – I can always count on clever and being entertained.

Just the right sort of folks understand and appreciate it and that’s just perfect. Kinda like our marketing works when it’s flowing well … perfect audience in – the rest of the world out.

We don’t need the whole world to sell stuff to to make this work. But you probably already knew that.

Okay so back to my takeaway from the lesson.

John watched it with me and expressed that it had been a waste of his time – listening to Dave ramble for 20 mins (just wait till he listens to a 4 hour ramble lol – it’ll be awhile before I get those pigs flying so I won’t hold my breath)

But then … he had a tiny glimmer of epiphany shine through which I’ll get to in a sec.

First here’s a couple of mine:

“It’s a whole lot harder to get to 10k/mo than it is to scale it up to 50 or 100k/month – and that’s mostly because you’re lacking the certainty that it can be done … that YOU can do it.”

Another was:

“Stuck is stuck no matter what level it is that you’re at in your business … and there’s always a next puzzle to solve”

Back to John … I think it’s comforting (and often entertaining) to hear the backstory and side stories that always bring Dave around to his point.

John was not amused – in fact he started to be irritated that I’d asked him to watch with me.

But then, after it rolled around in his head for a few minutes … he did have something tickle at his brain … hope and a glimmer of what he might try next in his own online adventures.

Boom. There’s the value.

It’s the little things that strike you as you’re listening to someone talk that you can take action on …

The “taking action on” part, of course, adding exponential value to the whatever it is you’ve found that’s tickled your brain.

I find it’s always something you least expect that impacts me – and I’ve learned that we can’t really predict what someone else will take away from the same content.

Anyway – just thought I’d share that with you today.

Grab the Master’s Course for yourself – yes it’s a big investment … but you’re absolutely worth it… then join us for our masterminds around it.

You’ll be glad you did.

Appreciate you!
