Inspired Action . Part 014

… I took inspired action and so I hope you enjoy these series! All of these pictures were taken by me, on my little camera, on my Charlotte North Carolina trip. 🙂
I’m going to share these on my Instagram and Pinterest as well. (Haven’t been in there for a while). 🙂
I am going on a “flip-flop schedule” beginning tonight! Remember what I somehow blogged about a couple of days ago? On what’s going on?
I am SO VERY HAPPY, because there are people who appreciate TRUTH! I also found them and will be working with them, too!
And so, on another note, for those of my blog visitors, who have said a prayer for my Father, who is still at the ICU, I want to thank each and every one of you, virtually, it’s community prayer that works, too. 🙂
I got an overseas phone call from my Mother, very early this morning, and she said my Dad wanted to “hear from me”…
… and my Dad could now speak for a little bit again! He is off the ventilator – breathing machine. 🙂 Thank God! (Because the previous calls, they just put the phone on his ears… or he is asleep most of the time).
For my new blog visitors, if you have ever heard of anybody surviving a stroke… well, if there’s a Guinness Book of World records for it, my Father has survived about 11 strokes now, and about two heart attacks. Personally, I have never known or heard of anybody whose willingness to live and survive to be as strong as my Dad’s. (His tenacity to live inspires me).
So, it was a nice “How are you?” from my Dad, and I heard his voice and of course I said I am fine. 🙂
And then I just shared with him “not to worry about me” and I told him also “not to worry about himself, and do not fear, too. Because, just as a reminder, he can call on the Holy Spirit, our “Comforter”, in our times of need.”
I also told him to kick “worry and fear” out, that if there are negative feelings or depression because of things and circumstances and people, well, worry and fear is not from God, but from satan.
And I told him not to fear, because if he feels “the end” is near, I told him that he is going to heaven, because I said, “Remember, those who accept Christ as his Lord and Savior are saved that very instant, that very moment.”
I said: “Replace your worry and fear with faith, that where ever you go, if it is in God’s will that you heal, or if it’s the end of your life, have that confidence that, either way, if you accept Jesus, you are saved. But do not worry about me anymore, because God is with me, just as I do not worry about you anymore, because I know that God is with you and you are surrounded by very very competent doctors and nurses – 3 nurses per 24 hour days, Dad, you have no where else to go but get better and heal. Help your body heal by not worrying, because God is with you.“
It was funny… after that nice and positive conversation with my Dad, my Mom started talking to me about death and how my Dad is near the end.
And I was like ‘MOM! STOP! Can Dad hear what you are saying????!!!! I just spoke to him about having hope and faith – YOU ALL NEED to and MUST speak to him that way!”
She said, “We’ve already called a priest to give him the last sacrament, so he is ready.”
I told my Mom, “it is not a priest nor a sacrament or a ritual that would determine whether a dying person goes to heaven – it’s in the bible – nobody goes to the Father in Heaven, except through Jesus Christ, when we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. (I blogged about this here) And so I added… “so you all NEED and HAVE TO speak to Dad about Jesus, again and again and again, remind him, read the Bible to him! Give him HOPE, give him FAITH, because THAT will help him heal, if he himself asks for God’s help! Pray to God the Holy Spirit – kick worry and anxiety out – it’s a negative emotion – faith and fear don’t mix! Remind Dad of Jesus! “ Jesus is such a gentleman, He will never save anybody against their will!
(Extreme unction is when a priest is called when a person is “deemed about to die” so that the priest can pray with the sick person and the sick person, in their opinion, will be mentally prepared to die…. I shared this with my earlier blog post… when I was in my twenties, surgery after surgery right, I got that “last sacrament” that Catholics talk about and believe in. I received that “last sacrament” TWICE in my life. What can I say about it? I remember it was SOOOOOO depressing! It made me more scared! And it made me angry!)
At that time, when I was in my very early twenties, I was not really a born again Christian yet, Roman Catholicism was the religion I was “born with” and I was raised a “Catholic” – who asked priests and nuns too many controversial questions in the private Catholic Schools that I was educated in. (I was kind of ostracized when I told everyone I became a Born Again Christian afterwards 🙂 – they judged me.
But that’s fine… I mean, I have no issues with going to a Catholic church, but there are just some practices or rituals that I no longer do, because I found conflicting explanations from the bible. I base my faith from the Bible.
Salvation is such a personal thing, we can’t really impose it on people, BUT, we can share what we learned – it’s up to them to believe you or not – the thing is, when you’ve done your part in sharing what you found to be the undeniable and incontrovertible truth – in God’s eyes, you’ve done your part. You’ve planted that “good seed” and hope it grows in the heart of the one you’ve shared it with. 🙂 One should not feel rejected, when I quote stuff from the bible, they’re not really rejecting me and what I am saying, people are actually rejecting God, and what He is saying, right? It’s nothing personal. 🙂
Anyway, I will be on the night shift tonight… but I couldn’t really rest before my shift, because the “voice of my Dad” made me happy… he is getting better! And so, that was when I thought, in thanksgiving…
… I am going to share some “Inspirational Quotes” (I have been a voracious reader all my life) … it helped inspire me at some point in my life, it inspires me still, and I wanted to share it with my blog subscribers, too! I created those, and I am using the pictures I took from my North Carolina trip.
