Blogging: A Simple and Effective Marketing Strategy for Any Business

No matter what business you are in, blogging is an effective and low cost strategy to connect with a lot of people and grow your business.

Now I know a lot of people…even business owners… are wondering why they need a blog.

It’s simple.

Blogging

Blogging: A Great Marketing Strategy

Blogging brands you as a leader, and people like to follow leaders.

And if you are just starting your business or are new to blogging, it’s easy to dismiss this strategy for yourself by saying, “I’m not a guru,” or “I’m not the most knowledgeable person in my field.”

But that’s ok.
You don’t have to be!
You simply need to know a little more than somebody else out there.

Everyone starts at the beginning and we are all in different places in our careers and life paths. And we all have something to contribute.

So when you are blogging, simply share what you do know, and help somebody else move forward.

Some things to keep in mind when you are blogging…

Be Interesting-No one likes to watch paint dry. You’re blog shouldn’t be the print equivalent of that. Have fun and engage your audience!

Solve Problems-People connect with you because they like who you are and you share common interests. They continue to follow you because you are making their day a little better and providing value. Listen and learn from the people who are seeking you out and find ways to help them!

Add Video & Photos-The thing that makes Facebook and Twitter so popular is that people like to hang out there and have fun. Adding pictures and video encourages people to interact and join the party!

Know Your Audience-People tend to get a little hung up on this one. It’s easy to think “well, I’m on the Internet, so I’m talking to everyone.” No, not really. Yes, your blog can be seen by everyone, so be aware of that before you put something out there you don’t want your grandma to see. When you are blogging, But be specific about who you are trying to reach. That will help you with…

What do I Blog About?

If you know your audience, you will have no problem coming up with endless ways to inform and entertain them.

Blogging…Where Do You Start?

Now there are many platforms for blogging. But my personal favorite so far, has been Empower Network. I’m not a tech expert. I don’t know code, and have no interest in it. So I was grateful that I didn’t have to spend any time on the design end. Everything was done. All I had to do was just start typing. Perfect! Plus, it’s completely optimized for search engines, and that’s a definite advantage for people who want to grow their audience and generate a lot of traffic quickly.

So if you’re serious about growing your business, time to take action and start blogging!
