First thing that you need to do to get more followers is to start following people. If you are brand new on twitter you’re not just going to get a bunch of people follow you. You have to start it up by following others. To get the ball rolling. Now you can just go out there and add anyone you want but there’s a more effective way to following people.
I usually will follow people who are niche leaders. These are the ones who are the movers and shakers in my industry. The ones labeled the “guru” and things like that.
The great thing about these leaders is they usually have a great follower list as well. For example if you are in the internet marketing niche the “leaders” in that niche will have a big follower list. That’s a good thing.
Because those people who followed them are targeted people for you. You will also want to follow those people. These people are potential prospects or potential partners for your business, product, or opportunity.
When you follow some will follow, some won’t follow back. It’s ok just keep it coming. The key is to do this daily to grow your list.
