Anderson Silva gets knocked out by Weidman and what I learned from it

So it finally happend. Anderson Silva finally loses a championship bout in the UFC. Silva who many say is the greatest fighter in MMA had been undefeated for 10 straight title bouts. Not until this fight against Weidman who kept his composure throughout the fight.
This was Anderson Silva’s fight to lose. Instead of taking the guy seriously he starts toying with him at the end of the first round and carries over to the second round. Which then Silva takes things too far and gets clipped. Then Anderson Silva gets knocked out. Here’s the video below of the knockout scene with a little added extra in the end!
In my opinion if he didn’t play around like that he would still be the champion.
Here’s a few things that I learned from this fight with him getting knocked out:
When you’re on top your work isn’t over.
– We all know we have to work hard to get to the top in anything we do. But you also have to remember it takes just as much work if not more work to stay at the top. Especially in a discipline like MMA. There are many fighters out there who want to get to the top and beat you. You have to be willing to work harder than most. Talent can only take you so far, it’s all about the hard work from there on
Don’t take anyone lightly
– Silva took his opponent too lightly. Thinking in his mind that he wasn’t on his level. Well look what that got him. Knocked out! Never underestimate your competition. Just like in internet marketing for example. We look at SEO competition. When we get number one placement we have to keep at it because there’s always someone out there that’s trying to knock us off.
Be humble
– Be humble in whatever you do in life. When you start getting cocky you get a tendency to get bit in the ass just like Silva did. Be thankful for what you’re getting or what you’ve gotten. Plus you’re giving out the positive energy and positive energy attracts more positive energy.
It’ll be interesting to see if Silva will what this rematch. He’s a competitive guy so I’m sure he’ll want it but at the same time father time is not on his side. He’s 37 years old now and in his sport you’re considered pretty old. But at the same time it is Anderson Silva, he’s not like every MMA fighter out there. So we’ll see. Anderson Silva gets knocked out!
