Yesterday I could not bring my girl-friend’s Mac Air to the garden because she had a meeting and needed the batteries fully loaded. I like to use the Air because the screen is much bigger.

Thus I took my small and slow budget netbook with me to the garden. Or in other words, to my airy office

I worked a little in it, plucking weeds and mowing the small lawn while listening to an audio.

And then I put up the chair and the one-legged table and started my laptop computer. I opened a Xena Fanfiction story which I have found on my big computer.

Once in a while I go out and find Xena Fanfiction and save them on my computer for later read and if any good put it on my Xena Fanfiction archive.

So, anyway. I’ve never read a story by “badbard”, but the first line told me this is going to be a good story.

I read and read and with the last minute of the batteries I finished chapter 9. TBC in chapter 10. But there was no chapter 10 in that folder.

Today I googled, I found a couple of sites with this story on. A couple on showed 2 chapters. The others also only showed 9 chapters.

HOW FRUSTRATING!

Will Xena really bring Gabrielle to Athens to have her fixed? Or will she realize her past experiences with Lao Ma and Bodaicaia were not bad experiences but in fact her true self.

Badbard created a couple of interesting characters, the Djinn, twins. One of them wants to leave this earth and go to a better place, his twin sister does not want to go. She wants to be human again, live and love.

Najara is just her normal mad and deleted self.

Also the character of a blind guy who wears a strange hat and funny cloths is interesting. He said 10 years earlier when he first met with Xena that the gods are only humans who have mastered the extra 3 senses. Most humans use only 5, the gods use all 8. Xena has a 6th one, and so does Gabrielle, just another one than Xena.

Good plot. Interesting. A glued-to-the-screen story.

I wrote the bard an email and hope it still works and she (for some reason I think it’s a she but I was wrong before) will write back with chapter 10 (and more?) or if she has not finished it yet will do so now.

=> Update. The email bounced back. Darn!

It’s really too bad that some bards, publish their stories while in the writing state. I understand that they’d like some feedback. But then, it should not matter what others think about your writing.

Just write.

Finish it.

Read it.

Have someone else read it and find typos and possible glitches.

Then publish it. On my fan fiction site
