To start out I have to say:
I am so deeply grateful for being able to working at home!
Today, for the first time in many weeks, we had a sunny day. For weeks it’s been grey skies, cold, rain. Everybody was wondering where spring was and why this weather was acting so weirdly. After all we made it a point to empty our plates…

… anyway, today started out like any day in the last few weeks… grey, cold, windy…
My girlfriend told me she was going to see if she can do anything in the garden, after all it was not raining but maybe it would be too cold.
So, I was plugging along with my online work when she called, just around noon to tell me it was nice and warm and sunny.
I looked outside, right, the sun was out… and it was warm? I could hardly believe it! It wasn’t warm on the balcony but then it was still 99% in the shade.
I figured I would eat lunch then buy some sandwich stuff for her lunch, empty my P.O. box and go down there for a few hours.
I must have arrived a little after 2 pm and went back home around 7 pm.
YES!! It was warm. Of course sunny. And quiet. Only birds. And the wind.
My heart opened up, my sould was singing Halleluja and I thought: Gods I’m glad I work from home and get the opportunity to spend some time outside and soak up some much needed sun for a quiet depression had descended on me yesterday.
It was only really warm directly in the sun, so behind our little hut which is in the shade and perfect to pluck weeds on a hot summer day… it was coolish. So I decided to pluck some weeds where there was full sun.
Lovely. I was listening to an interview with Dave Wood and some guy… pluck pluck pluck… and soak soak soak…
Have I mentioned how grateful I am not having a job at some office?
Imagine, the first day in weeks, after a rainy and COLD weekend… the sun is out, it’s warm and you have to stay inside, at some job, at the office… YIKES!!!
And I read a little. Took a nap until a neighbor decided to mow their lawn with a loud machine. So I decided to do the same, well not mow but cut with this snazzy electric cutting machine.
It cut a couple of grass stalks and decided it needed a rest and fresh load of electricity. Oh well…
It was getting cold again, big dark cold shadow was covering more and more of my comfy chair and it didn’t make much sense to move it because that before mentioned shadow was there, too.
So it was time to put stuff away and pack it up when I noticed my neck was a bit stiff and it reminded me of May 4th during the MMI seminar. Somebody even gave me a massage but it didn’t help: I had developed a migraine which turned into me loosing my last meal and end up flat on the bed in the emergency car on the parking lot (lucky me because I hadn’t seen one on Friday or Sunday).
I thought, oh no, not a migraine. I tried to stay relaxed while packing up and went home. It was more or less ok unless I bent down which I had to do several times: untie shoes, put shoes away, pick up the cats’ food plates, put them back down with food in it. Ouch. Feels like an impending migraine.
I suddenly remembered Keith Anthony whom I know does hypnosis. He once had offered me to hypnotise me so for the next time when I get attacked I could prevent it. I didn’t have time then but lucky me, he was online and responded.
He agreed to try to hypnotize me. Will it work?
It took us several attempts…
– my Mac Skype’s camera does not work anymore so I had to get my little netbook started
– it took ages for the netbook to start
– Skype was not reacting
– hot damn!
Finally, we are on video chat the two of us. Before we started though we chatted a bit.
When we were just about to get started I noticed a message from my little computer saying there was only 4% of energy left.
– I plug in the cable to the netbook
– Computer suddenly goes black
– the plug was not plugged in on one side of the cable
– I had put in the wrong cable
– Have to find the right cable
– And now have to start the computer again
Challenges… too many cables…
Then we were starting again. He asked if I have any emergencies (pot of water on the hot stove) and I remembered I had put one of the cats on the balcony so I could get hold of Keith while the other cat was eating – it takes her ages and I felt this nagging feeling of discomfort moving up my neck.
Ok, I think I’m ready now.
Why Skype? So he can watch my reactions and just in case I fall of the chair LOL
So, we go through the process and I feel relaxed. When he gets me out of it my neck feels a lot better, not 100% yet but a lot better. We go back into trance again. And well, I don’t want to bore you with too many more details… you gotta experience it yourself. Find Keith on Skype keithanthony0169
My neck feels a lot better and I believe without his hypnosis I’d be in bed with a migraine.
He’s given me a tool – a sentence really – which I can use next time I feel a migraine sneaking up. Though I really can live without them I’m kinda curious how it’s going to work.
The only thing that has worked for me is: go to bed, make the room as dark as possible and sleep.
I wish I had had this “tool” when I was at the MMI seminar. Oh, well. I guess I can go again and it’s not all of it a repetition
Thank you for reading along. And if you follow my journey of Catpower I have an appointment tomorrow early afternoon. Can’t wait
One of my goals with this ‘work’ is to ‘retire’ my partner from job-hunting. Travel. Take care of my mom. If you’re interested in achieving similar goals, just follow the instructions above.
