Saturday the company owners came and picked up the stuff I had gathered for and from them the last 8 years. 6 boxes full of stuff!
Just removing those out of my office gave it a lighter air.
Today I moved everything, the furniture, the computer, the second screen, the printer, the wooden boxes, everything that is in front of the window away, cleaned, vacuumed, and washed the windows.
I better remember to be dressed now when I get into my office LOL
Anyway, it took me all morning and a lot of sneezing. I have a sneaking suspicion that I’m allergic to dust. So I put a bandera over my mouth – I kinda expected the police ring at my door because a neighbor thought my house was burglerized – and nose to reduce the inhaling of dust, it was a bit better, but once in awhile I’d have a sneeze attack. And been washing my hands a lot.
And I was exhausted. Glad when lunch break came and my girlfriend had fixed lunch. It was too funny how the cats were expecting… I don’t know what. Zena eventually jumped onto the kitchen furniture to “help”.
After lunch I started moving stuff back.
It’s a bit different now. I didn’t put everything back at the same place. The cat tower is now on my right hand side instead of the left. We will see how the cats react. I didn’t hang up everything I had before. I have a large cardboard sunflower “picture” which I moved from the corner to above my computer, also my dream board moved a bit more to the side, now I can see it better.
I wish I had a better view because I could see it now. LOL. Though working on that, on the view
I started to unpack some of my Xena stuff because this is an important part of my life which I had be neglecting the past year or more. Feels good. I don’t have much. Some fans have so much stuff, things I didn’t even know existed but then, they have been going to the Conventions year after year and bought a lot of fan-memoribilia. I inherited some posters and photos and magazines from a friend. I think when she moved…
My desk is still full of stuff which I want to go through and decide if it will help in my business or self development. If the answer is yes, I have to find a way to store it for easy access and if it’s no – which is the easier one – throw away. Most of it is paper, so, old-paper pile for recycling.
But hey, it really feels lighter, more airy, more spacy. And I wanted to quickly write this and tell you what’s going on here.
I hope I can keep it this way, this airy and clutterless and find time and energy to go through all those other shelves and corners. I’m sure there is a lot that I don’t need anymore.
Do I really need all those books and lessons from the webpublishing school? When was that? This or last century?
Oh boy! Last century!
1998!!!
Wow.
Some of that information may still be valid but I have not looked at them in ages. And with technology changing I bet most is not. Away with it!
Argh, it’s not easy. But I will do it.
Ok, back to going through that pile on my desk so I can see it again.
Though all this activity was not very productive business-wise but it was necessary. And I think I will feel much better and get into being active, “doing it” from one, much easier, much lighter.
Thanks for reading. Until next time.
