What the Heck is Cabin Fever?

When you hear Cabin Fever, what goes through your mind? Do you think of you and a bunch of friends cooped up in a small cabin in the middle of nowhere?
Well, here’s what Cabin Fever means to me! Several years ago I met an individual that posted a job on CL by the name of Andrew K. He was looking to hire someone in California to help him build a prototype cabin for a wealthy client.
He drove his prototype cabin in a moving truck from FLORIDA!
This Guy Had Serious Cabin Fever!
He STRESSED that the build would have to take a maximum of six days because thats what he told the client!! I assured him that I could pull it off with a small crew, including the foundation, and have it MOVE IN READY on the sixth day.
The Really Fun FIRST Cabin Fever Build…
The week of the build came, and I kicked my butt into OVERDRIVE, and finished that dang thing, DESPITE the crooked two by six tongue and groove roofing we had to use!!!
I LITERALLY had to clamp each board to the rolled steel beam, pound the sh** out of it, until it was in position, and then fastened it with special winged screws! That was one of the more challenging projects I completed, but since that first build, I have assembled over ten cabins for my friend Andrew!!!
Some went more smoothly than others, but overall, those builds were some of the toughest, and most fun I have had in the construction industry! I basically learned how to build a “micro house” from dirt, to foundation, to completed building, all with electrical panels and some with bathrooms!
I had no formal education in construction, just a willingness to learn ALL the trades, and become very good at them over time.
My friend Andrew had GUTS, to drive a WHOLE CABIN from Florida to California with his son, no less, and WE pulled it off together, building that dang cabin and making the client happy!!!
It takes the same kind of GUTS and FIERCE determination to do something you have never done before, especially when you want to change your current financial situation!!
My friend Andrew had a vision to ship WHOLE CABINS cross country, to anyone that ordered one online, and DELIVER a SUPERIOR product!! I was just glad to be part of that vision!
I Got Cabin Fever! A New way to SUCCEED!
I can say with absolute certainty that the same tenacity that kept me going on those cabin builds is what drives me today. If I see something, I GO AFTER IT, BALLS TO THE WALL!!
If you can relate to me, but have been crashing and burning when it comes to finances, my friend, YOURE NOT ALONE HERE!!! My wife can testify that I had THE WORST business sense this side of the Mississippi!
I FINALLY realized, after ten years, (I’m a slow learner!) that I needed a SUCCESSFUL persons help if I was to change my situation.
Are you the Frog?
What I stumbled upon that changed my life was shockingly easy, since the past ten years of my life was spent pulling “all nighters” on the construction site, and just WORKING my butt off!!!
I had the “nice guy” syndrome when bidding on jobs, but in retrospect, it was my own FEAR and DESPERATION that kept me broke!!!
I learned to overcome those emotions, and today I am still kicking a** and taking names, just doing it more effectively using really smart peoples brains when it comes to my finances!
I can catch Cabin Fever, but only on my terms, and only on SURVIVOR, cause I think that would be a FUN challenge!!
