Improve Google Search Ranking with SEO

Search engine optimization (SEO) is an important tool for Internet marketing longevity.

If you’ve got a website online and your goal is to attract visitors through search engines, then having a comprehensive understanding of SEO and using it to improve Google search ranking is essential for your success.

Google is the king of search engines, so anybody optimizing their websites and their marketing efforts will certainly do it by the standards that Google has set.

Why is this?

Because being the king of Internet search engines means having the most traffic, and more traffic means more potential visitors to you, which also means – when done correctly – more money in your pocket.

Improve Google Search Ranking Using The Basics Behind SEO

You have two basic types of SEO that will improve Google search ranking: “on-site SEO,” and “off-site SEO.”

On-site SEO involves utilizing keywords and keyphrases within your posts and pages which will help search engines understand what your website is about and if it’s relevant to the visitor looking for specific content.

For example, let’s say you’ve got a website about making homemade dog food, well you might have a post on your website that focuses on the keyphrase

“how to make dog food at home”.

When you use this phrase in the sentences of your website, and especially in the title, search engines like Google will be able to tell that your blog or

webpage is relevant for anybody typing the phrase“how to make dog food at home”,and as a result it will improve Google search ranking for your website.

So that’s on-site SEO, so what’s off-site SEO?  Well, off-site SEO is very similar to its counterpart, except the search engine optimization is done on another website besides the one you’re trying to get ranked.

An example would be to submit an article to an article directory, and on that article you’d insert a link within it that would take people back to your website.

This process is known as backlinking, and having backlinks from quality websites that link back to your own website is one of the most common and powerful ways to improve Google search ranking with SEO.

Many of the same rules apply to off-site SEO, such as using related keywords in the content ….you’re writing.

Assuming you’re still writing about homemade dog food then including relevant keywords in your articles such as dog, canine, dog food, etc… is a good idea for two reasons.

One, Google will identify that the link from your content that goes back to your website is on an article that’s related to homemade dog food

…which is exactly what you want…and two, the article content itself will draw in visitors, who will then click through the link you’ve provided and go to your website.

You’re essentially bringing in traffic from two different sources, AND using a process to improve Google search …ranking!
