Edward Snowden what is happening ?

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

And so here we are, waiting with baited breath for the next installment on the Snowden affair. Will he won’t he? Will he, won’t he …. will Edward Snowden be staying in Moscow or not? Will Edward Snowden be going to Ecuador or not? Will he, in fact be going anywhere at all now that his passport has been cancelled by the American government?

The last two reports on Edward Snowden affair were this morning from the Miami Herald and later on after lunch from Brussels Neither anywhere nearer to what is going to happen to this poor man.

The latest on Edward Snowden

The Miami Herald tells us earlier today, 27th June 2013, that during a news briefing in Senegal, President Obama said NSA leaker Edward Snowden was in possession of more classified documents and that the government did not know “what other documents Edward Snowden may try to dribble out there.”

That said, the president added that he will not “be scrambling jets to get a 29-year-old hacker.”

The latest, we are told from Ecuador is that they are considering an application for asylum from Edward Snowden, and that they will not bow to pressure from the U.S. over this matter.

However this all finishes up, I wonder how many of you reading this have actually heard, and by heard,  have you really LISTENED to the original interview of Ewdward Snowden?

What is Edward Snowden saying?

I mean what Edward Snowden says, actually sent me reeling. Did it you?  and if it didn’t ….. why not? Are you asking yourself this? Take a long look in the mirror and ask yourself these things. So many thins happen around us,  and we watch and don’t really take part. We all say that there is nothing we can do about it. But you know,  that is how all these big governments, and huge corporation manage to gain control of this, that and everything else in our world. Not so much because they have the power and the money, but because we the general public seem to ‘switch off’ we seem to go into ‘deaf mode’ or is it ‘coward mode’  . The mode which we tell ourselves is our comfort zone and we don’t want anything rocking the boat so that we may stay in this comfort zone for as long as possible. They take control and are all powerful by default, by OUR neglect. Because we have sat here and let them.  Well Edward Snowden has rocked the boat, but I think it needs rocking.  Don’t you?

Personally I feel outraged that every single phone call, every single email is not only being captured but is also being stored and will be stored for perhaps the rest of my days. The repercussions of just what Edward Snowden has told us in this interview are so far reaching on so many levels. Can you imagine mixing all this with the hugely growing crime of identity theft? If it were to happen to you, you could be looking at being condemned and never ever releasing yourself from this vicious circle.

I was always one of these people who sat back and said  “well as long as you keep your nose clean and do no wrong,  no harm will come to you” but thanks to my wake up call from Edward Snowden, I no longer believe this.

Of course President Obama is going to say his has more documents, and that Edward Snowden is a scum bag and that the Government will produce evidence to prove this. Of course they will. They have already started and I am sure that even as we speak, big black smirches are being ‘found’ going way into the past of Edward Snowden, which will turn our heads and have us believe and make us ‘realise’ that Edward Snowden is rotten to the core and always has been. Now then, this is up to you and me.  Are we going to believe this, and go back to our passive and apathetic little lives and pretend this didn’t happen.  Or are we going to question the points raised by Edward Snowden and get a few more soap boxes out and try to take some action to claw back our privacy……

Please let us not leave the Edward Snowden affair alone. Please, if you have not already watched the interview,  just take a few minutes of your time and watch it. Think about it. The Edward Snowden affair involves us all. We need to think about this.  Before all our rights are taken away from us under our very noses.

Just in case you are not clear on the full repercussions of what is going on here, perhaps you would like to bookmark this link and come back and watch these further videos from the Alex Jones channel. Whilst I realise that the story has moved along way forward from these programmes recorded on 10th June, the points mentioned are still very relevant and they affect you, me and everyone else on this planet.

I urge you once more to set aside the time to watch this, think about it, and take some action, there are petitions to sign, you can lobby your local government, there are local groups you can join. Please, let us stop being to apathetic about Edward Snowden.
