A long series about mind control experiments takes up the most space here, running to several thousand words at a stretch. It describes a project beaming frequencies to alter mood, subliminal images sent across North America, weather manipulation, and surrenders during a desert war attributed to something other than firepower. None of it is evidenced, all of it is stated with total confidence, and it is by some distance the most distinctive thing Anna-marie published.
Around it sits an enormous run of ordinary consumer articles. Choosing jewellery, juicing, planning a wedding cheaply, building muscle, improving your memory, decorating a room, using a phone. They read as if they came from a syndication service and they have no connection to anything else.
The contrast is extreme and there is no bridge between the two halves.
