You Are What You Think

Thoughts are powerful. It can change and shape our lives even when we don’t want them to. That’s why it’s important tohave the right types of thoughts. So we could live life at its fullest and create instead of destroy. You are what you think… that’s just the way it is.

You Are What You Think

Without exaggeration, that statement is very true. What we think of ourselves and of the world makes us who we are and what we can be. Take time to stop for a moment and analyze your life. What type of thoughts do you possess? Compare that to your life now. You’ll notice that depending on the thoughts you possess, that’s the type of life you’ll have. If you think you’re stupid, then sorry to say this bluntly, you are stupid. If you think you’re smart, then you are. No one else can change that but you. Why? Because you are what you think.

Learn to think the right things. Strengthen and empower your mind. Read books, watch seminars, listen to audio tapes, make friends with leaders and action takers, and hang out with the right people. Don’t let anyone ever mess with your mind. It’s your territory and anyone else stepping on it should be considered trespassing. Remember that just because someone plants a negative seed in your mind, it doesn’t mean you should help it grow.

I read Napoleon Hill’s book “Think and Grow” rich a couple of weeks ago. Based from the title alone, you can tell this book involves a lot about our thoughts. If you haven’t read it yet, I recommend you give it a read. Great stuff and anything that can help you grow and change is worth it.

I found a really nice poem within the book and I thought I’d share it to all of you out there.

If you think you are beaten, you are,

If you think you dare not, you don’t.

If you like to win, but you think you can’t,

It’s almost certain you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost,

For out in the world we find,

Success begins without a fellow’s will —

It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are,You’ve got to think high to rise,

You’ve got to be sure of yourself before

You can ever win a prize.

Life’s battles don’t always go

To the stronger or faster man, But soon or late the man who wins

Is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN!

It’s important to know the difference between failures and successful people. The difference is the failures don’t think they can do it even without trying. The successful people know they can do it even without trying yet. It doesn’t end there, they still know they can even when they’ve failed again and again and again… then they succeed.

You are what you think… that’s just how it is.

Are you creating the right thoughts for your life? Or are you bringing yourself down because of the thoughts you create?
