Storm in Costa Rica and Not Talking About the Lightning in my ViDEO

Storm Brewing in Costa Rica and Not Talking About The Weather

There was a MASSIVE storm in Costa Rica.

Literally and figuratively speaking.

Figuratively: We just finished the first two sessions of the Costa Rica Masterminds Retreat course.

The top earners and 100 other bad ass members of Empower Network were in Costa Rica for the Master Minds Event.

This product is going to change the game

We learned so much amazing stuff already. Today was value packed.

I could honestly have left after today’s sessions and be totally fine.

I know exactly what I need to do and how to do it to achieve my goals.

All without even attending the second half of the course.

Obviously I’m going to go to the second half of the course… but you know what I mean

So It Was Worth Coming Down to Costa Rica?

To get down to Costa Rica for the Masters Mind Retreat… I had to pinch every cent I could get a hold of, borrow from a few different sources, probably not be able to eat for the next month and potentially sacrificing going to school next year.

Before I signed up to Empower Network, I already made a commitment to go to college this September.

I had a few bucks in the bank, about 2/3′rds of my semester saved up.

When it came time to pay for the Costa Rica Master Mind, I had a big decision to make.

School or The Masters Retreat.

I applied for a student loan but still have not heard if I am going to be accepted.

Do I roll the dice and risk spending the money I have set aside for school and go to Costa Rica…

or do I play it safe and use my school money for school.

If you don’t risk anything, you risk even more

As I sat on the fence, debating on whether to go or not, I listened to an audio with Tony Rush on it. I can’t even pin point the exact moment where I had my “I HAVE TO GO” moment, but after listening to him… I knew I had to go.

It was also that moment, when I realized…

Life is full of big and little decisions that can seriously alter you life and change the path you walk on.

I know when I achieve my goals, I’ll be able to pin point the exact moment in my life that took me on the path to success…

Coming to Costa Rica for the Empower Network Masters Mind Retreat.

A Story on How Little Decisions Can Change Your Life

About 10 years ago, I lived in Bondi Beach in Sydney Australia.

Because I’m Canadian, and like a freakin’ idiot, I brought my hockey gear all the way to Australia with me (you should have seen the reactions I got with my hockey gear while I was in the Cook Islands and Fiji) cause I knew there was hockey in Australia, but I just didn’t know where it was.

I finally found some hockey one night from 11pm – 12am about 45 minutes away from Bondi. There was a problem. The last train back left at 11:30 pm. I didn’t have a car because I was a broke backpacker.

So I sat on the fence and debated…

It would be cool to play hockey tonight… but how and the hell am I going to get back home? I thought about taking a cab but it would have been a ridiculous fare. The more I thought about it, the more I was content with just chillin’ at the hostel tonight… again… and the same thing I did the night before that.

Then I thought…

You know what… I’m gonna go to hockey and I’ll worry about how I’m getting home after
-Me

So I just grabbed my hockey gear, took a train to the rink, knowing I had NO IDEA how I was getting back.

As I was on the ice, I started talking to a guy. He was Canadian as well. I found out he only lived a few hours away from where I did back in Canada. Now in Canada, because it’s so huge, we were practically neighbors.

We started talking about Australia and how we were enjoying our stay here. I was curious to where he lived in Sydney because there is over 400 suburbs and over 5 million people here.

Our convo went a little like this:

Me: What’s your name again dude?
Him: Brian
Me: Where do you live in Sydney?
Brian: Bondi Beach
Me: So do I! On what street?
Brian: Campbell Parade
Me: So do I! Hey question for ya… do you mind giving me a ride back after this?

From that decision of going to hockey that one night EVEN THOUGH I had no idea how I was getting back, I took a little risk if you will… and to this day, Brain and I are best friends.

I couldn’t imagine my life without having Brian in it as he has helped me out through some very difficult times I’ve had to deal with.

I even stood in his wedding as a groomsman.

I have a little challenge for you

The next time you have to make a similar decision, a choice in life where you’re just not sure on what the outcome will be, or it sounds a little risky…

Take the risk. It could change your life.
