1. Keep emails social, with short paragraphs. Make your email sound like you speak, one on one.

2. Think about your prospects, put yourself in their shoes. When doing email broadcasts, think about what day of the week it is. Offering ways to escape the day job emails work better on Mondays – Wednesdays, not the weekends.

3. After setting up your follow-up emails to optins, you MUST do broadcasts. Pay attention to what is happening in the world today eg. April – May USA peeps get tax refunds. Don’t forget special events such as holidays, Olympics, headlines.

4. Look for catchy billboards – what gets your attention? Is it just the words or picture?

5. Write about your own lifestyle in emails. Set up drafts ready to be sent. Scott has 26.

6. Learn from other good marketers by opting in to their lists.

7. Get photos and videos for your emails of you with other top marketers. Hangouts and Events are best for that.

8. Watch what advertisers do – 4th July Sales, Memorial day Sales – talk about your own life on those days. Keep your list involved and getting to know you.

9. Run competitions to give something away, even your own time. Send three emails a day! Take first 6 to respond.

10. Always do positive marketing. You can reframe anything in a positive light.

14. Use a well-know ad line from TV ad for recognition, or Song title.

15. Don’t try to connect to the masses. Write to your list, addressing their deepest needs and desires. Those who don’t connect with you will unsubscribe.

16. Understand who you are talking to. They clicked and gave their email address because they are searching for something.

17. Find a sequence that gets people highly engaged and responding. Encourage readers to reply to your emails, even the follow-up ones. “Did you watch the video from yesterday’s email? Here it is if you missed it.” Series of videos, announcing what’s coming next. Even deliberately miss one and send it later, asking if they were looking for it.

18. Check emails you receive looking for subject lines that caught your eye.

19. Train, entertain and sell. What is the specific purpose of each email? Daegan Smith says to email twice a day. (I actually achieve that by having an autoresponder email set up plus automatically sending my blog post )

20. Tell stories.

21. When referring to leaders, use their first name only so your prospects don’t go off and join under them.

22. Write about your daily fun activities with family  while your prospects are sitting in their work cubicle.

23. Repeat a successful email at the bottom of another one.
