90 Day Bible Reading Plan Challenge Notes:

The promise that Yahweh (God) made to king David was finally fulfilled. (The promise: that David would build a temple for Yahweh’s people to honor His name…..but David would not be the one to build the temple. One of David’s sons would build the temple).

Solomon completed the building of the temple.

*Solomon assembled the elders, leaders, and heads of tribes during Sukkot (Festival of Tents). The priests and the Levites brought the Ark of The Lord’s covenant (which at this time only contained the 2 stone tablets with the 10 commandments that Yahweh issued to Moses) along with it’s tent to the temple and placed it in the most holy place (the inner sanctuary) and as they made sacrifices to Adonai……….the glorious presence of Adonai (The Lord) filled the temple in such a thick cloud that the priest could not finish their service due to it!

*Solomon blesses the temple and the entire congregation of Israel.

SPECIAL NOTE: Sukkot (The Festival of Tents) is one of the 7 Feasts of The Lord that we are commanded to observe and celebrate forever. (Deuteronomy 16:13)

Sukkot is also known as:

The Festival of Booths, The Festival of Tabernacles, The Festival of Shelters, The Festival of Tents. It just depends on what version of the Bible you are reading.

King Solomon loved many woman and his heart was turned away from Adonai and he began to worship other gods. This greatly displeased Adonai and the kingdom was taken away from king Solomon. But because of Yahweh’s servant king David (Solomon’s father) Yahweh did not take away the kingdom during Solomon’s life….He did it during Solomon’s sons life.
