D-Day
One of the most historic days in world history D Day.One of the biggest days in the World War II.Many thousands of men died that day in the invasion of Normandy at Omaha Beach. This was a pivotal invasion and mission in the effort of defeating Hitler during World War II.
Hopefully this story told by Bernard Friedenberg will remind some and teach others that are too young to remember World War II, how terrible war was and still is today.
Thousands of men died in just this one battle!
I HOPE with all my heart that after centuries of wars and battles and people having died by the thousands, that we as a people of the world, that are suppose to be civilized , we can find better ways to settle disputes between each other!!!
This accounting of the war by Bernard is another of the many told by people over time.I pray that we can finally learn how terrible they are and stop having any more wars in the world.
We are all people, no matter where we live ,grew up,work, raise families. We all have the same needs, wants and basic desires-to have a roof over our and our families head, food on the table,to be safe,be loved and give love,be healthy and happy and live good lives! We are all the same-no matter what country we are from.We may have some cultural differences but our human needs are the same .
So what is there to fight about????
What is there to kill each other over.
What could possibly be more important and valuable than the life of another person???
How could anyone possibly think that it is better to shoot, bomb, burn, maim and kill another human being-man ,woman or child, than to find SOME OTHER WAY ,at all cost to find SOME other way to settle our disputes!!!!!
There should never be another circumstance like what Bernard Friendenberg had to endure and “live” with his entire life!!!
