Maximize vs Full Screen
This mac Yosemite trick has to do with how to Maximize a window vs making it full screen.
By default now it’s FULL SCREEN and I really don’t like that.
To make it the normal Maximize Window…
SHIFT + OPTION then click that same green button.

Use CD or DVD from another computer with your Mac
This mac Yosemite trick is about what you do with a CD that you want to rip?
It’s called “Remote Disc” and most new machines do NOT have a dvd drive anymore.
So if you buy the latest Taylor Swift CD (yes we got it) and you want to rip it… you can’t unless you have a drive.
Instead of buying a drive I just used another machine with a drive in it.

Quick Search Mac Yosemite Shortcut
Instead of digging to find a program to launch or finding a file…
HOT KEY search is way faster.
normally you have your right hand on your mouse and left hand on the keyboard (or both on keyword using a laptop)….
A simple Command + space bar brings up spotlight (search)
Instead of clicking a program… I do a quick search and fire it up.
I love working on my Mac. I remember I would have to use a PC when working as an Engineering and it just wasn’t as easy to get around.
Sure you made it work but I’ve been so much MORE efficient just adding a couple Mac Yosemite Tricks to speed up productivity on the rock solid Mac platform while building my business from home.
