Online Marketing | Do You Understand Its Real Power

When you begin online marketing, either for your offline business or home business, at first, it seems like it is going to be easy.  Especially if you have listened to the marketing gurus who tell you how after just a few days you will be pulling in tons of money.

However, the reality is that it doesn’t take long before frustration sets in.

This is when you either buy the next “shiny object” program or you decide to quit.

Be aware of the three online marketing enemies 

The first enemy is the technical learning curve – people generally are not technically inclined. The bottom line is – computers are intimidating – what if you mess things up? Create a huge problem?  Most people can manage to check their email, surf the net, search for friends on Facebook, and spend time on social networks.  They would rather avoid doing the technical stuff.

However, those very people who are technically challenged could be traffic for your business and buyers for your online marketing services.

That is…. if you don’t quit.

The second enemy is rampant misinformation – it’s actually easy for someone to claim they didn’t know right from wrong when it comes to online marketing. There are so many “poser” gurus who are putting out misinformation and leading others down the proverbial garden path. The Internet is changing so rapidly that what was acceptable to search engines such as Google a year ago is not tolerated today.

Like so many others you have probably found yourself lost in a sea of misinformation, information overload, and very inaccurate information.

The third enemy is time – You have likely heard how “time waits for no one”. Well, it certainly does not wait or even slow down.  Especially if you have a full time job, a family, and the other things that come along with that, and are trying to learn about online marketing. Most of the time, you’ll simply find the old saying is true – “There’s just not enough hours in the day”.

So a very large majority (93%) of people who start online marketing are left without much hope of success.
