Two warning signs get named plainly, and they are the reason to read this blog. A company paying distributors purely for recruiting rather than for sales may not be a legitimate structure at all. A company requiring new distributors to buy expensive stock up front is telling you where its revenue actually comes from.
The post on genealogy lists is the most technical. Those names have already accepted the idea of network marketing, which removes the largest obstacle in a first conversation, but many of them are inactive, happy where they are, or sitting on a do-not-call register that has grown very large indeed.
Elsewhere the blog explains the structure itself, who the upline is and where a commission travels, for somebody who has heard the words used and never had them defined.
The writing is impersonal and reads as reference material.
Read the warning posts before you sign anything, and the genealogy one before you pay for a list of names.
