Sharon Whyte

A home based business that has you out of the house every month, driving to other people's living rooms and storing boxes in the spare room, is not really home based, and Sharon Whyte says so with some feeling. She wanted to work around a baby and found herself doing the opposite, and that disappointment sits behind the whole blog.

Her best practical post recommends keeping a journal, not for reflection but as a diagnostic. Write for long enough and the beliefs quietly limiting you start appearing on the page in your own handwriting.

The rest works through personal development in short pieces: gratitude, consistency, career choices, the subconscious, and a long list of qualities she associates with leading rather than following.

There are also two collections of quotations, chosen rather than scraped.

Fourteen posts, all brief. Read the home business one if somebody has just described an opportunity to you as flexible, and the journalling one if you keep stopping and cannot say why.
