Thirty minutes of reading and thirty of listening, every day for a month, announced in public so that quitting would be embarrassing. David Pulphus set himself that and then wrote the study up as it happened, which turns four posts into something closer to a diary than a set of lessons.
He picks the books you would expect from somebody in this world, and does not pretend otherwise. What he adds is the discipline of working through a home study course slowly and reporting back, rather than quoting a chapter title and moving on.
He also makes a point worth keeping: that you can choose your mentors, and that most people never realise this is a decision rather than an accident.
The fourth post is a rant aimed at anybody in the business making no progress and still explaining why.
Four posts. Read them in order, because the sequence matters more than any single piece of advice inside it.
