Just my advice to you on weight loss,

Sometimes it seems like weight loss is beyond what we think we can do. You start off feeling extremely pumped about your weight loss goals, but after a few weeks, this excitement wears off. Once this happens, the tendency is to quit. How can some people keep off the weight after meeting their weight loss goals? What do they know about

weight loss

that you don’t?

The first step in your weight loss effort should be to set goals for what you want to achieve. Do you have an upcoming social function for which you want to look your best? Is there a certain number of pounds that you want to get rid of? Do you simply want to feel more energetic, or is there a medical reason behind the need to lose the pounds? You should ask yourself these types of questions.

Seeing your

weight loss

progress written down may be the motivator you need to stay on track. You should keep a journal of all the food you eat. At the end of the day, total up your calorie intake and see if you are within an acceptable range. Recording weekly progress on your weight in this journal will help you stay focused. The use of a graph is a great visual motivator in your weight loss journal.

If you get to the point of true hunger, you are asking for weight loss trouble. At this first sign of a hunger pang, you are putting your diet in danger. If you plan your meals ahead of time, you can avoid getting hungry and losing self-control. Carry snacks with you, too, as they can help cut your hunger throughout the day and will prevent you from overeating! Whenever you can you, should take you lunch with you from home. By doing this, you will save yourself some money and you won’t be tempted to make the wrong choice when it comes to what you eat.

In order for your weight loss plan to be a success

you should combine a healthy diet with an exercise plan. Find a workout that you like to do, and complete it regularly. When it’s hard to fit exercising into your schedule, incorporate a favorite activity into your workout. Use any opportunity to go on a walk. If you love to dance, think about taking a class – the options out there are endless. Do you feel an urging to get outside in the great outdoors? Do it!

You might realize this, but it’s worth saying: if you don’t have any junk food in the house, you won’t be tempted to eat it. Instead of junk food, fill your kitchen with healthy foods like fresh fruits and vegetables and granola. Avoid purchasing the foods you should not have so it will not be in your cupboards when you are hungry. By not purchasing it at all, you won’t find yourself eating it!

While you are trying to lose weight, ask your friends for support. Even though it is down to you to lose the weight, remember that your family and friends can offer encouragement, especially when you feel like giving up. Call your friends if you need a little motivation to keep going. They can give you the support that you need as you go through your weight loss program.

Love, Stephanie
