Going It Alone?,….Best Not!

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

….I’ve met a massive amount of people along my walk in life, but only a few who seem to have things down in such a way that they are truly living the life they want.  This is not to say that I haven’t met plenty of people doing things they want, but less are actually living their lives as they set it up. Sadly, so many are busy being busy trying to get to a place that they can feel that there is no longer a need to strive….seeking out some secret place that is only for the selected lucky few!

…It’s not so much that such a place doesn’t exist, but more that there are far fewer people who ‘are’ at a place….within themselves that they experience life as they want it because they created it that way, only because, sadly, there are so many more who are Not at ‘their’ place yet, although that said, there seems to be many ‘shifts’ occurring globally as we speak…..The interesting thing is that as much as a such a journey is a personal one, and at times a solo activity….none of us would get/have gotten ‘there’ on our own…

Be it because of lessons learned from others’ experiences of what to do and what not to do, (albeit we need to personalize them to our own ways that work for us) we, as ‘forever-students in life’, (so to speak) still need to learn/exchange/interact/connect with others… we are afterall social creatures and going it totally on our own is not our design, although yes at times it is good for us to be alone, to take pause, reflect, recharge and carry on…(time for oneself is vitally important for our well-being/doing

Opting out would seem a rather ‘colour-less’ life, a Cop-Out!, (or maybe that’s just my thinking)…But Opting In now that’s choosing to engage in life….to be empowered! That’s more to my liking, if I may?

Interacting with others/working together/exchanging ideas/learning from one another….being social creatures and doing social things…. explains why Social Media is such a Huge Hit!

The point here is that so much more is possible when we hook up with others…This is not to say, it’s a numbers game that more is better, but quality is….. the value that we can bring and share is key!

You see, I still have shifts to make that will empower me more than I have been…. I know I have a lot to learn, and I am eager to, but it’s also about linking up with folks one is congruent with, where common ground is real, and shared values empower instead of disempower – /disillusion/ dishearten/dispirit.

This is not to say we have to be identical, OMG no, but it is about being aligned in objectives and as such we need play to our strengths to ‘add-value’ be it for the team, or colleagues, partners, friends and family….and even as strangers…we can not go it alone!

Think about the millions of strangers driving on the roads, if there weren’t a collective interactivity there would have been one big pile-up long ago, and/or other similar scenarios…In whatever is done – we are linked in some way, be it through our histories (alwith our six degrees of separation), or even our DNA encoded for survival, and even if it’s for cynical and sinister reasons (i.e; to steal a bunch of cash to live large may appear selfish, but for what purpose(s)….e.g; flash the cash for attention, and/or lavish goods on a loved one, rise above others to be ‘top-dog’ – either way it involves others….

So why not work together for the common good of all of us (of course, with our individualized ways of doing things ….One doesn’t really hear about the person who hoards piles of money to as to sit in a room all by themselves for their whole life hanging with just the piles of money with no interaction with the outside world, – why don’t we – because they’re all alone, so no one knows about them!

Most wealthy people (I say wealthy vs successful is success can be temporary, whereas being wealthy is a state of mind, a state of being, so to speak)…. Most wealthy people (and/or their offspring) from have said, “they couldn’t have done ‘it’ alone!” … Specialist, Experts, Friends, Family..even foes (believe it or not) played their part in achieving their success, and it was their wealthy mindsets that got them to see the opportunities, but again it was all the input of others that made things happen at the scale they did.

So why ‘go it alone’ when you can hook up with like-mined people, who have good intentions others may realize their goals/dreams/aspirations to create a world we all love living in together…

Sounds all so idealistic and tree-huggy doesn’t it?…but hey your success is my success, is our success, – it’s about how we go about it, learning from one another, and/or new ways of doing things without having to re-invent the wheel…..and who better to learn from than folks already ‘doing it’  –  successfully, and who want to empower others– not just in making wads of cash, but adding value to others with that cash…. to share in ‘good living’!

So if you want to know of a good way How to make the necessary changes to gain those improvements in your life….First, don’t try to go it alone….engage with a group of active people doing just that…connect with Empower Network.
