People love famous celebrities!
When I think about famous celebrities, I like to think about the positive things they have brought to our lives. Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Clint Eastwood, Jack Nicholson, and Meryl Streep. These famous celebities and many more have brought some form of entertainment and excitement to our lives. During the Michael Jordan-Bulls era, I can remember all those exciting playoff games….times were good in the Chicago land area. I remember the term threepeat, as coined by coach Pat Riley.
Tiger Woods was an incredible golf athlete, and it was amazing to watch his skills on television. The endorsements Tiger had were many, and it was difficult not to see his name or face on boxes of cereals or shoes, or whatever.
Movies are a great form of entertainment for me, so celebrities in this area, tend to be one of my favorites. One of my all time favorite actors was Clark Gable, who can forget his role as Rhett Butler, in Gone with the Wind. The line,”Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn,” will live on forever. Another one of my favorite actors is Jack Nicholson. From One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest, A Few Good Men, As Good as it Gets, and the list goes on. He has won a few Academy Awards, and he was a good childhood friend of Danny Devito’s. One of my favorite movie lines is from A Few Good Men, “You can’t handle the truth.”
Moving on to another favorite celebrity of mine is Meryl Streep. I remember the television series the Holocaust, it was a great series about that horrific time. She has won three Oscars and has been nominated for 17 Oscars! I don’t think that anyone else holds that record! I love how she can take on the voices of the people she portrays, a great example is Julia Childs. There is no doubt she is considered one of the greatest actors of all time!
Last but not least, is an all time favorite actor of mine, Clint Eastwood. This man is so talented, that not only he acts he directs and produces. Any movie of Clint Eastwood’s, I will see, because he always shows the problems older people have, but he does it with a sense of humor! Million Dollar Baby, Gran Torino, Space Cowboys, Dirty Harry, and the list goes on and on. All I know is that these famous celebrities can make my day, as Harry Callahan would say.
