I was inspired to do this video after chatting with someone who was convinced that he was not able to succeed at anything!
ANYTHING?????
Really?
What it really boils down to is how your faith is in yourself. I’m not talking about a religious point of view, necessarily. but simply KNOWING that you have to be good at SOMETHING.
Or even better…
You have to have a DESIRE for something.
Whatever THAT is, you KNOW that you CAN get it
Even though we sometimes get down on ourselves and fell like
· I don’t have enough money
· I’m not smart enough
· I’m not attractive enough…
IT HAPPENED TO ME TOO!
…I remember a time when I was so broke..
- I lost my good paying job as a District Manager
- I lost my home (3BR/2BA, I loved that fireplace!)
- Almost lost my life (car accident that totaled my car)
- My wife lost our unborn child (ectopic pregnancy)
- I almost lost my wife
- I lost both of my cars (repossession & accident)
- I ran out of money (no job and medical bills
- I went bankrupt (lost any other valuable possessions I had)
- I ended up moving myself and my family into my parents basement (it was the only thing I could afford…FREE)
This all happened within ONE year. I called it “the year of hell”!
and I was really starting to feel sorry for myself and I just KNEW my wife would leave me and my kids would hate me…
– – – then I just said STOP IT!
I could have thrown in the towel and/or settled for whatever life handed to me. But instead, I made myself the promise that …
- I was going make twice the money I made when I was laid off
- I was going to move BACK to Indiana, into a bigger house with a large yard for my kids to play in
- I’m going to start by moving out of my parents basement within 3 months
Everyone though I was crazy… some laughed at me and my parents tried to calm me back to reality because I was broke, bankrupt and had no college degree…
But I had a BURNING DESIRE and I KNEW I was a powerful human being!
…and I accomplished ALL 3 THINGS
How can I get out this rut? Try “stop it!”
Stop feeling sorry for yourself, You are a POWERFUL Person!
So, STOP IT! And get to work…
Tell me about a time when YOU accomplished something against the odds!
