The Importance of getting to the event

event

Austin, Texas

We are about 60 days out from the Empower Network EventRelease your inner badass” in Austin, Texas the weekend of January 18th.

Fortunately I went to the event in San Diego at the end of September a couple months ago.

The month after I returned .

So after four months I think I am experienced enough to talk about the importance of going to the event.

It was named “Fight the Forces of Evil’ in San Diego.

You can see my excitement in this video when I got back from that event.

It is not by mistake that the month following was a great month for my business.

So what did the event do for me that changed things?

The San Diego event validated this business for me

Prior to going to San Diego, I was not 100% certain that I could make money at this.

I am just being honest.

There was a lot of self doubt and “monkey chatter” going on in my head.

I was struggling with my belief about whether or not this was possible for me.

San Diego validated everything.

The event showed me that average everyday people were making money doing this.

I met leaders like Lawrence Tam, David Wood, Simon Stepsys, Rob Fore, Alex and Erica Udeanu, and many more.

They were all making money.

But that was not the most powerful thing at the event.

Of course the leaders were making money.

Duh, that is why they are leaders.

What really blew me away was the fact that 95% of the room stood up during the commission countdown exercise.

Let that sink in for a second.

95% of the room in San Diego (over 2,000 people) had made money at Empower Network.

None of them had a money making fairy flying over their shoulders.

They were just following the system.

And I was in the 5%.

And I was pissed.

I hated not being able to stand up.

All they were doing were the 8 core commitments and………

……..blogging daily, telling others, and getting paid.

If you are with Empower Network you know that going to the event is one of the 8 core commitments.

If you are not with Empower – Don’t be a wussy, just get in.

Leaders attend the event, no matter what

event

If you are considering Empower Network ask yourself if you are teaming up with a leader that is going to attend the event.

Why would you ever consider joining someone that was not serious about their business?

How could they tell you to do something they have not done themselves?

And how can this person help you be successful, in your business, if they are cutting corners in their own?

It just comes down to commitment.

Are you committed to your success or not?

I already know the answer to this question, as it relates to my business.

I am certainly committed to my success.

The event in Austin, Texas is another opportunity for me to learn and socialize with the leaders in my company.

It is where many joint ventures have been born.

Our teams’ inclusion in the Banners Broker Ultimate Coop was born at the Atlanta event.

I joined another Coop recently from a relationship I met in San Diego.

I certainly have an excuse to not go to Austin, Texas.

I wrote recently that my wife was let go from her job.

Times may get a little tough for us.

But I am going to be there.

I have my tickets and I will be at the event in January.

I don’t care how, but I will be there.

If I have to drive across country and sleep on someone’s floor, I will be there.

Why?  Because I am committed to being a leader.

I may not be there yet.

But to get there, I need to do what leaders do.

And leaders attend the event.

See you in Austin!
