Google Penguin 2.0

Have you noticed your web rankings have changed recently?
Many people have, because in mid May 2013, Google implemented what they call Google Penguin 2.0. Penguin 2.0 is an internal name for an update to their search engine ranking algorithm.
In the video down below, I explain a bit about Google Penguin 2.0 and what I am doing not only to protect my current rankings, but I explain my 4 step program to dominate the search engines in the post Penguin 2.0 era.
Google Penguin 2.0
Google Penguin 2.0 has involved extensive changes in the ranking algorithm, and in certain ways, further distances itself from the old, write a post, then back-link it like hell method of SEO.
Getting tons of back-links to a blog post or website was one of Google’s initial means of telling whether a site or post had authority.
But knowing that, webmasters and SEO experts just went out and generated millions of back-links, and therefore gained advantage and preference over people that didn’t know how, or realize their importance.
Those days are virtually gone in my opinion.
Google Penguin 2.0
A websites or blog’s authority now is tracked more on both the traffic the website gets and the social signals the site or post receives.
Now if that sounds a bit like a catch 22, it is.
Considering you want to get more traffic by having blog posts rank high, and one of the secrets to ranking high is having a lot of traffic. If that doesn’t sound link a bit of a riddle, I don’t know what does.
The way I see it the way I see it, the remedy to all of this comes in a few steps.
First and foremost… Blog about something people will want to read about.
And when you do, make sure you write it in a fashion that makes it worth their time to read.. and above all, encourage them to SHARE, LIKE, TWEET it out to their friends, subscribers, readers.
In Google Penguin 2.0 if other people SHARE it, that is generating the SOCIAL SIGNALS that Google Penguin 2.0 is looking for.
These social signals are critical. You must have them now for posts to rank high.
Second, if at all possible, blog from a high authority blog, such as the Empower Network Blogging system. See my post What is an Authority Blog for an explanation and demonstration of the Empower Network’s blogging and website authority.
Finally, I highly recommend you join a community of real people that will openly share, like and comment on your posts. Communities like this are called Tribes.
Tribepro offers both a free and paid version of tribes. And you can get thousands of shares of your posts using Tribepro.
These are real people sharing, liking, commenting on your content, so it’s exactly what google is looking of in Google Penguin 2.0.
When you think of it, thousands of shares could mean tens of thousands of views, being everything single share could be viewed by hundreds or even thousands of people.
So effectively what I have here is a 3 step action plan to take your posts to the top of the search engine rankings even after Google Penguin 2.0 has been implemented.
1) Use a high authority website as your starting point. (one with age, and a history of high traffic. Empower Network’s blogging platform is perfect for this.

That’s the secret of dealing with Google Penguin 2.0.
