Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana) is rapidly becoming very popular as a sugar substitute. That’s because it is natural and does not have the possible dangers to health that so many sugar substitutes have had in the past. Not only that, but it is easy to grow, as most herbalists and gardeners have discovered. Plus it has zero (0) calories! Also, it is also easy to learn…

The reason is that the sunlight can reduce the strength of the dried leaves. It’s best to tie the stems as shown in the video and then place the tied plant stems and leaves upside down in a paper bag and secure the bag opening around the base of the stevia stems. Hang the bag with stevia inside in a dry place with good air circulation and check it in a couple of days. When the leaves are crisp, they are ready to be processed.

Whenever you brew a cup of tea, you can use a stevia-filled tea bag to sweeten your tea. If you want to sweeten some cold beverage such as iced tea or lemonade, brew several stevia teabags and then let the stevia tea cool. You can add as much of the stevia tea as you like to sweeten your iced drink.
