Sleeping

Sleep or sleeping: to rest or be in a state of sleep.

We all sleep some more than others, it is recommended that we get at least eight hours a night.  However there are those of us with age who tend to sleep less, I wonder why?

Sleeping for me has become less than I feel I need as of late. About 3:30 this afternoon I laid down for a short nap, well an hour and a half later when I awoke getting my eyes to focus was very hard. I really am still not completely focused.

I am generally not a morning person as they say, so I tend to find myself up till the wee hours of the morning. Most generally I turn off the light at 1 of 2 in the morning and usually an up again by 9:30 or 10. I guess you could say that is enough but my body is telling me otherwise.

I don’t know if anyone else can relate to this problem but I believe that there are plenty of people that do. What it boils down to is my nap did me no good, for I want to go back to sleep in the worst way right now.

Sleeping is supposed to restore the body and give you a lift for the period you are awake. I know that they have done studies on this yet I have not looked into the details. It does not help that I am a diabetic , and I think people who have diabetes should be getting more sleep than I am.

I am not certain but people with all kinds of health problems must have trouble sleeping as well.  I know that I am not alone with this I just want to be able to get more sleep and really feel rested in the morning. It seems that I go through cycles, sometimes I can go to bed at the same time yet I am awake reading for over an hour or more before I really lay down to rest.

To sleep and to dream these are what I want most at this moment in time. I shall start working on this as soon as possible. Sleep well all.

Granny with a Plan.
