Can You Believe

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

Believe: to have a firm conviction about something, accept as true.

How many people believe in something or someone so strongly that no matter what anyone says or does they will not change their mind. I have never looked at the statistics on this  I can imagine that they are quite high.

This is how I feel about believing because it is what I am focusing on at this time. I don’t know how anyone else thinks or feels about believing, but how can you not get anywhere in this day and age without any kind of belief.

Believing in yourself is something that we all should do. Why? Without belief in yourself how on earth can you accomplish what you seek to accomplish to make your life what you feel it should be. You may say that sounds selfish and yet ask yourself how many people have come up to you and said they believe in what you are doing, and support you no matter what.

Today:

In these days and times with so many people looking for work, losing their homes, not being able to support their families. I say they have lost their beliefs in all they used to believe in. Some can no longer handle this and tragedy strikes, in the form of someone either taking their own lives or their loved ones as well. So the downward spiral begins, and leaving a loved one like that only makes things worse.

I really don’t want to make this post sound so negative, however this is the reality of how things are today. To have belief in anything becomes difficult for so many and this is were people who have strong beliefs should reach out an lend a hand. That does not happen often enough though does it.

We are a strong country and when tragedy strikes on a massive scale we always find a way to help and in doing so you give the people who have suffered some spark of belief. This is believing and sharing that is unbelievable to some, yet for others it is a joy in man and what can happen with the power of believing.

I know I can believe that anything is possible, change, lifestyle, becoming a better person. Learning to believe in myself more than I thought possible, I also believe that I can now help others believe.

Can you believe in yourself, are you ready to make changes within yourself, I think you should. Take the time and just think about it, you can it just takes you making a decision.
