Karen Rae

Connecting the dots backwards sounds like advice until somebody tells you which dots. Karen Rae lists them: what you first said you wanted to be, who your first friends were and why you liked them, what your first crush was like, what you gravitated towards before anybody had opinions about it. That is a discovery exercise you can actually sit down and do.

The context is unglamorous and better for it. She is writing on a snowbound day with the video abandoned because her daughters are in the kitchen being noisy, and she just gets on with the written version instead.

The third post covers muscle testing, written straight after her first session with a practitioner. She explains what it claims to do, quotes a physician's description of it rather than only her own, and reports feeling better without insisting you will.

Three posts only. Do the dots exercise properly with a pen. It works better on paper than it sounds on a screen.
