If you are in need of disability assistance, don’t worry there is help for you.  There are federal, state and city programs that you could possible be eligible for.

Unfortunately, there are times in our lives when we are not able to work the way we used to take care of ourselves and our families.  This can happen to the best of Us.  If you feel that you are not able to work seek assistance from your federal, state, or local government.

Seek help from any non profit agencies in your area, they may be able to point you in the Right Direction.  When you are disabled and you feel like you are alone, and you can not make ends meet try the Department of Health and Human Services in your state.

There are also agencies in place that help people with disabilities find work. Begin with your local unemployment office.  I came across this website:

You can always try the United way referral line, which is set up to assist anyone in need, and refer you to the correct agency that can assist you.  There are tough times that we face today, and it is important that you know that you are not alone.

If you own a home, you can apply for an homestead exemption in your state if you are getting disability benefits.  Check with your local tax appraisal office.  This is can help reduce or eliminate the taxes on your home.

If you have a home that is in desperate repair try contacting the local Development Corporation, or search online for Home Repair for the Elderly or disabled in your area.  They may have many stipulations that you may need to go through, but at least you can get the ball started, and get whatever documents that are needed.

I worked for the Bear creek Development a few years ago, and we helped applicants apply for grants that they did not have to pay back to get their homes rebuilt, but they had to live in and not sell the home for a few years after the repairs were complete.
