What is education; the answer depends on who you ask but this is a definition I found online:

Noun
1) The process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, esp. at a school or university: “a new system of public education”.
2) The theory and practice of teaching.Synonyms training – schooling – instruction – upbringing – nurture
It is funny how this definition of what is education adds “at a school or university: a new system of public education.” My question is what about kids getting home schooled or adults being self-taught in certain areas? I think the greatest lessons and biggest education comes from our day to day learning in life not in a classroom.
I am in no way saying education in the traditional sense is not important, it is very important! I am just picking this definition of education and what is education apart and saying the writers of this dictionary need to expand their horizons.
I can think of quite a few people that became highly successful in all aspects of life at the hands of being self-taught or trial and error one might say. You read and learn something and you put it into practice. It does not work or produce the results you expected so you tweak it a little and try again until you get the expected outcome.
Several jobs offer “training” but this “training” is really EDUCATION. Training is just another word for education. I do not like being trained, I like being educated. That is a word I wish I could change. You train a dog, you educate a person.

My best education other than getting my high school diploma of course came from three guys that taught me how to market online and offline. They taught me how to step my game up in this game we call life and in business. They taught me how to be successful and not just with money but in everything I do including with my family. They taught me to never quit when times get hard but showed that is when you push and work the hardest. They taught me to never make excuses but make solutions. They taught me it is best to help others even during your struggles. They taught me to be a winner!!
These three men have all been in the worst of situations that life has to offer from doing drugs, homeless and with no direction to go but up. They were able to get through to me because they had been where I was and they understood me best.
These three men taught me through videos, events, phone calls and social media. You may know them as they started the Empower Network and the third guy is a Leader in Empower NetworkDavid Sharpe, David Wood and Aaron Rashkin are the three men. So again I ask what is education?
What is Education??
If someone were to ask me what is education I would say it is acquiring knowledge by whatever source or means possible. Why should I get a 4 year degree in marketing when I get everything I need plus in videos by people doing it every day? It is much more effective and brings in more money. A degree allows you to work for someone else. The ability to self-teach allows you to work for yourself. Truly what is education?

I would highly encourage you to begin your journey of being self-taught and working for yourself! The change it will bring to your life in so many areas is nothing short of a miracle. I hear stories daily of people being successful and the changes it has brought in their lives.
It starts with a belief and confidence in you. It starts with a desire to make a change in your life for the better. One year from now we will all be somewhere in life, the question is where do you want to be? Do you want to be where you are now? Your best thinking has got you to where you are now! Maybe you want to be somewhere better, in a better situation!
It all starts with a decision and a desire!! Do you have that desire? Are you brave enough to make that decision? I hope so and your future self hopes so!!
