Meredith Dale

Falling in love with the word no takes eleven steps, according to the best post here, and Meredith Dale means it literally rather than as a slogan. She treats objections as a sequence you can practise, which is exactly what somebody selling from a kitchen table needs and rarely gets.

Her other strong idea is a sales alter ego. Rather than telling you to be more confident, she suggests building a version of yourself for the part of the day when you are selling, which is a great deal easier to act on.

The practical posts are aimed squarely at direct sales. Twenty things to write about. Twelve ways to promote something small. How to organise the desk you are running the business from. A list of books chosen so you can rest and still get better.

Sixteen posts. Take the objections one and work through it before your next round of calls. The rest is useful, but that is the piece that changes a week.
