To be successful you need a purpose, a vision and a goal (cut down into mini goals). The vision and purpose for your goal have to be strong in order to help you make it over the rough patches you will cross on the way to your goal.

You can do affirmations (repeat words or phrases) to help keep you motivated or you can use visualization (typically done with meditation). Another way is to create a vision board and place it in an area where you will see it on a regular basis.

Check out this vision board.  You can make yours as simple as this or as crowded as you want.

A vision board is simply a cork board that you fill with pictures, photos or affirmations, depicting exactly how you want to see your life turn out in the future. Your vision board is a visual representation of your goals and aspirations. You can put pictures that you find in magazines, print out from the internet or actual photos you’ve taken on your travels.  You can also printout affirmations or quotes to go on your vision board.

If you want to be real creative you can separate your goals onto different vision boards or even use a scrapbook to create a vision book.

Have fun creating your vision board and keep it positive.  A vision board is for where you want to go in life and I highly doubt that you want negativity in your life when you get there!

Put the vision board in a place where you will be able to see it regularly.  The purpose of the board is to help you focus on the future you are creating, to help you refocus when times get rough and you need a reminder why you started on this journey in the first place.  It will happen, believe me, the road to success always has rough patches.  It is how you handle them that matters and your vision board will help you refocus!
