There are so many MLM secrets to be found out there, but when it comes to doing MLM the old way it’s really a joke!! Have you ever thought about joining a MLM company? To be honest, I didn’t when I joined my first one and after I did I found it wasn’t for me!! I found out the hard way that the old MLM Secrets do not work they way they are said to work!
Old MLM Secrets – They Don’t Work
As you are reading this you may get chills up and down your spine telling you to back away quickly. If you join an old MLM you should do exactly that. Those people preach the dream and live the nightmare and you don’t want any part of that. Here’s the scoop!
Old MLM Secrets – Friends and Family
The old style MLM companies tell you to make a list of 100 people which includes friends, family, acquaintances, your first grade teacher and even the mailman! Once you do that, you start to recruit them into your business. How do you do that, you ask . . . I’ll tell you!
Home Parties
Once you have your list together it is time to plan a party! Yippee!! Who doesn’t like a party? You invite people from your list of 100 people, set out snacks and drinks, and either you or your sponsor (if you are new) will bore them to death with the most amazing things since sliced bread. They will have to buy from you, won’t they? Actually, most will because they like you and for you only they will buy the smallest thing on the list. You are happy though. You earned a commission!
Everyone leaves and you tally it up. You made sales BUT realize that those 15% to 30% commissions don’t add up very fast at all!! You will probably break even on your first party for the party expenses but not for the kit you had to buy to get started.
3 Way Calls
After the party, your sponsor will tell you not to be disheartened. There are all the other people on your list. Before you know it your kit will be paid off and you will be on your way to living the life of your dreams. Besides, the two of you will call the people who couldn’t make it to the party! Your dreams start to soar again, you are going to be rich and free!
So you start making the calls. You hear why people couldn’t come and they are busy and can’t talk right now. The reality is they would have come if it was a different kind of party but they didn’t want to feel guilty by not buying anything so they stayed away. You may get a couple more sales but not much.
Preaching the Dream and Living the Nightmare!
What you end up doing if you make any money at all is preach the dream and live the nightmare. What people who talk about MLM Secrets don’t tell you is that you will be on the phone all the time, planning parties that you are having trouble getting anyone to attend, etc. You are working way to many hours a day and not even making a living. Those who do make enough to live on work even hardier. Their life sucks!!
MLM Secrets – The New Way
The new way of marketing is online. No hotel parties, no phone calling, no badgering friends and family and working 2 to 4 hours a day from anywhere in the world. Doesn’t that sound so much better? It sure did to me and that is what I’m doing now. I work a couple of hours a day writing blog posts, using social media, creating videos, etc. and sit back and let my presence on the internet do the work for me. I don’t have to be present in order to make a sale or recruit anyone to join me!! I have yet to have a conversation with anyone in my downline before they joined
Instead I can focus on helping those who joined me succeed. It is much more beneficial and rewarding to help others get where they want to go in life.
